Against Cleveland Monday Night-Considering 1) he's never attended a Warrior game. 2) The Oracle Corparationis the biggest Warrior Corparate sponsor 3) He has inquired as to buying the Warriors 4) He knows his name has been associated with buying the Warriors and he's now content to fuel the specualtion.$) He's in the top 10 earners for 2009. My speculation is that he's starting to round up a group of investors and he know longer cares if the Bay area knows about it. He might even be trying to leverage popular fan support for a move.

I think he would be an owner who would go over the salary cap, and pay the luxury tax. His chief rival NBA owner, as another software magnate would be Mark Cuban who currently has the second highest payroll in the NBA. Cuban sold his company, Broadcast. Com many years ago. And my guess is as a corparate survivor of the dotcom boom, Ellison sees Cuban as a bit of an attention mongering buffoon, and rightly so.

There is speculatioin about building an arena in SF. I don't care. I know many on this board would prefer Oakland, and if he stays that's fine with me. But it does seem the City of Oakland hasn't been a very lucky place for sport franchises for quite some time, and maybe a change would do everyone good. I know there would be a revolution in FO funding, and with our young nucleus, it's not hard to imagine getting the couple of players we need to seriously compete for a championship.

For those who are regularly attending games, this is a chance to shine and let Ellison know you want him to buy the Warriors. I'm up for coming up to the Oracle if there is to be an organized rally before the game to prod Cohan to sell the Warriors or exhort Ellison to buy the W's. But if you are in that arena you have to in some way make the matter known to him., with t-shirts, concealed signs revealed, or by overwhelming applause and chants. As a corparate sponsor, my guess is that he WILL be introduced prior to tip off.

Larry E is truly a dispicable person. However those same traits that make him easy to dislike in real life, quite possibly could make him a great owner.

I just want someone that CARES and will try his best to put a winning product on the floor. Ellison certainly would be that.

Well being that the company I worked for for 9 years got hostily acquired by Oracle, I had many friends and collegues that then worked for Oracle. My wife included. Many of these people were top level executives that worked with Larry. Oh man the stories.
