just saw breaking news on ESPN
Monta injured seriously after a collision
..he was down for 25 minutes
and was immobile..he had to be carried off by
a stretcher
crossing fingers but doesnt look good
Monta thought to be injured seriously...but ok now

Horrible news.
I hate to be an ass about it, but it seems like he still hasn't learned to control himself. It doesn't look good for his future PG aspirations (if he had any). Can't believe it happened in training camp 
So what happened was he hit his head on Brandan Wright's hip while trying to split a double team according to ESPN. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/trainingc ... id=3051363 Hearing about this injury reminded me of something he said in an interview.

Yea I just saw this on ESPN. Its sad cause they were just talking about how good this week was with no major injuries to anyone on the team and now this happens. Hopefully nothing major and just hope it was just for precationary reasons.

Lets just hope hes not paralyzed. That wouuld be a sad sad day. THe article on espn said he couldnt move from the shoulders down. Doesnt look good.

Terrible news. Looks like Belinelli is going to start. We lost Monta for an unknown amount of time and we don't have Jackson for 7 games. We're going to need our guards to step up since we lost our best two not named Baron.

Ouch. Terrible news, indeed...
Hope the kid gets alright soon. I frankly don't care how long he'll be out of the lineup, just want him to recover fully. |

^ it has to be very serious, it took over mlb playoff scores in the espn news block thing(turn on espn news and youll see what im talking about). Hope he can recover fully. |

well.. from hitting his head on a hip.. then the ground.. i dont think he fucked up his spine or anything... i just pray that he is fine as TMC said earlier.. no matter if hes out for the season.. just as long as hes okay.

ESPN reported the am that he left the hospital on his own. Diagnosis is a neck sprain. Will be out for a few days as a precaution (likely still hurt and nervous anyway). This is very good news.

Thank god. The news about not being able to move were alarming, to say the least.... He better takes some time off before trying to come back. |
