Richardson said Tuesday he signed an endorsement deal with Nike earlier this month. He had been a "free agent" since Reebok declined to re-sign him before last season. Richardson was a part of Reebok's Above the Rim campaign. The deal with Nike is better than his Reebok deal, Richardson said. But there's some work to be done before he gets to endorse a specific shoe. "They give shoes to All-Stars," Richardson said. "So we've got to win first."
