Anyone have any dunleavy trade ideas?
|
|
Well, I just think we need a cabable backup small forward for Mickael Pietrus (since he wants the job so badly... be best to give it to him and speed up his development). I'd say lets trade Mike Dunleavy for someone like Walter McCarty; a guy who can hit 3's (which is what we want Dunleavy to do), but is comfortable with a bench position. Another guy would be Gerald Wallace (young, athletic, would fit in well with Pietrus/Richardson/Davis).
A backup small forward with another bench player would be ideal. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

dunleavy and foyle for someone good?
|
|
Dunleavy for cap space, I dont know if other GM's would give up much for a sixth man. Maybe, Maybe______
Dunleavy and a first pick(if we still have that trade exception) for Josh Smith(our new sixth man) Has no chance of happening but I can Dream, sepecially is Williams lives up to his hype. |

We still need to thimk centers though. I dont want to go through the rest of my life watching the warriors draft centers

Too late for me For I have seen the huge titans that they were Great men named Felton Warriors like Todd Fuller And McGrady killer Adonal These men were the inspiration to my suicidal behaviour But now I have a reason to live Something that is not named Barron But an innocent looking pill named Zoloft. Shout out to my peeps "warriors GM's 1990-2003" U guys were awsome |

Oh my God, anytime I hear the name "Todd Fuller," I dry heave. The guy was quite possibly the worst center in NBA history. "I can't shoot free thows because of a bone in my wrist"... that was the biggest load of crap ever. He was just a damn sorry player.
Love the Josh Smith idea! ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Todd Fuller, Jon Konkak and Felton Spencer all played for this team and that is sad...............
Forget the past, it is painful. The future looks just great now. Dunleavy for Jalen Rose might be possible but he might not want to be a bench player as well. Can't believe that the Raptors seriously thought about getting rid of yet another of their best players! Dunleavy for anyone stable is alright ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

The reasons the Raptors want to get away from him is for the same reasons I don't want him to come to Golden State:
- Jalen wont accept a bench role (which solves nothing with Pietrus) - He has a huge attitude (with an equally big mouth) - He only has one or two good seasons left in him - He'll be too expensive to resign A veteran for Mike, yes, but not an old man at the end of the tunnel. Jalen Rose has a season or two left before he becomes a parody of what he once was. Simple as that. The Raptors know it, so they want him out. Good move, I say. Plus, they're trying to clear cap room so they can rebuild. If they grab a great free agent to play with Chris Bosh, they'll be a little closer to coming back. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

I completely agree that the warriors could trade mike for a good 6th man; however, you do NOT want it to be Walter. Also being a Celtics fan I can tell you its not even close to worth it. Perhaps trade him for someone and Hedo Turkoglu. That might work......just not Walter.

Turkoglu would be a good choice, too... as long as it's a bench player capable of hitting from the outside, it would be fine...
... ideally, if Mike accepted a bench role for less than 5 million a season, he'd be a great player to have in that spot... ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

5 million is too high - 3 - 3.5 million

That's what I meant. Somewhere between 2-4 million would be fine, but 5 would be way over. He hasn't proven anything yet.

We will see! Give him until the trade deadline to build up his value! Then we'll dish him for someone useful!
