I'm not a Raider fan. I'm a Niner fan any day, any time, any place. All day, everyday. But hey, where is the Raider Nation on this board? Seriously, you'd come to think there are some fans here not named pawnograffiti and d1mex.

I hate the Raiders as much as anyone, but I expect 4 wins out of them.
I'd say 5. Their defense is good. They have the worst offense of the NFL, but their D may save a few wins. |
Yeah, but if their offense cant score, they wont win. They do have a great defense, I can give them that, but their offense is pathetic.

we might as well name this thread the raider hater thread.
am i the lone raider fan on this board? ![]() |

We aren't hating, we are being honest. How many games do you honestly expect them to win?
No. Dun's mother... er, Pawno is also a Raider's fan. It's just that he doesn't post much because he's ashamed of being one. |

This board is 49ers fans infested. But it's true d1mex. The Raiders can't score for sh*t. But they can stop the pass. Can they stop the run this year also? I sure think so. Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

That's the key. Their defense is already good enough to make the playoffs, but their offense is the worst of the NFL. Not even the Browns are so bad scoring. If they can keep that defense and improve their offense to a middle of the pack level, they'll be a dangerous... just not now. |

Yep. The defense is set for years. You have Asomugha, one of the top 10 best corners, if not top 5 in the league with Fabian Washington by his side. You have Huff, one of the up and comers in the league. You have absolute beasts in Kirk Morrison and Derrick Burgess on the play all day. Can't forget Thomas Howard, Warren Sapp, and rookie Jay Richardson. The defense is sick. But until the offense shows up, the season is lost. Can't win games unless you're the 2005 Chicago Bears with Kyle Orton as your QB in a weak division.

Honestly I think their offense is improved enough to win 5-8 games. I predict 6. Culpepper should be an upgrade, and from what I see of him, he should fit in well. We have a good to average WR core of Porter, Curry, and Williams/Higgins. Our TE is set with Zach Miller. And I believe our offensive line will improve greatly under Tom Cable with the new cut blocking scheme. We'll see on September 9 against CJ and the Lions, I cant wait!! ![]() |

I think that Culpepper will help you guys, and you have a decent run game. You have okay receivers, and I envy your tight end, but it all comes down to your offensive line, and you just dont have that. If I were Al Davis, every pick in next year's draft would be a lineman, and hope I get lucky on three of them.

I still need to see that. I mean, Miami surely thought so when they traded for him... and they have more talent than the Raiders on the offensive side. We'll see if he's able to be the old Culpepper (or close)... |
Eh... I'm still "meh" on Culpepper. The preseason is the preseason. I hate how "experts" boast about his performance in the preseason against 2nd string units. The Raiders kick ass in the preseason, but then the season? Well...

But you need to remember that when Miami had him, he was still hurt. You could tell that even when he did play, he looked shaky. I'm not saying that he will be awesome this year, but he will have a better chance to do well here than he did on Miami.
Uhhh... It's the preseason, where teams play starters for a quarter. |
