I hope the W's get this guy (Hasheem Thabeet) in the draft!!! This guy is 7'3 and weights 265lbs and has vast potential!!! We don't need him to be an offensive presense but just to be a shot blocking center who doesn't allow other teams to get deep position on the W's bigs!!!

At least we would have a chance against Yao and he would be a more physical center than AB!!!

Has be compared to Dikembe but with a stronger upper body!!!

To think of it I think the W's now would have been better off with Kosta on the W's roster instead of someone like McLeod!!! We sure could use his size even though it would be just for a few minutes a game...

Do we really need another big man with "great potential" (although if he stays in college for a few years i would hardly classify him as another project)? Big men drafted at the end of the lotto have a HORRIBLE track record. The best ones all go at the top (with very few exceptions) We are very lucky that Andris has panned out as well as he has. Plus hes still 20 with a great frame to add more weight.

Biedrins is the type of player if he adds more weight to his frame then he'll lose his quickness...Like I said in a previous post he doesn't have a chance of guarding someone like Yao in the future even though let's say he were to even gain an extra 30 lbs or so. The man is just so much bigger!!!

Please come up with your own opinions and not just quoting something that you've read in a paper!!! I.E. Big men with potential who are not drafted in the upper part of the lottery turnout to be medicore big men!!!
Please!!! Comeup with your own **** and not somebody else's!!!!

I am not in favor of the Warriors drafting another project at the center position right now. Biedrins is our center of the future. Yes, he might be a bit weak at times, but as has been said, HE IS ONLY 20.

Let him grow into his body and also, let him learn the physics of the game. Don't just look at him right now as a finished product. He is far from that. In fact, it has taken Yao up until last year to establish himself consistently on both ends of the floor.

Also, muscle and bulk is not going to necessarily hurt Andris that much. He will still be quicker than most centers and we are not talking about him adding 50 lbs or something. Maybe 15-20.

What this team could use is a legitimate power forward with the ability to score down on the block and defend well. Diogu may end up being that guy, but only time will tell. At least with Biedrins we are starting to see him live up to his potential. Between injuries and time on the bench, we really do not know what we will get with Diogu.

No projects are needed right now for the Warriors. Get some athletes, defensive stoppers and players who can score on the block.

Yeah. All of them. Both Philly and ... That awesome supporting cast that he took to the finals back in 2000/2001 would have totally won the title with just about any other player than AI. Give me a break. No other player this side of Jordan (maybe not even him) would have taken a single game from the Lakers in that series with that shitty ass excuse for a supporting cast, let alone making it to the finals. Iversen is a great player that has achieved a lot in the NBA. Not sure if putting him and Melo on the same team will spell success but it just might.

Good analysis.

It's hard for many people to see how truly great of a player AI is due mainly because he wears his hair a certain way, has tatoos, and does not fit into the corporate mold. AI is the greatest small player since Bob Cousy/Nate Archibald (pre achilles tendon injury).

You guys are talking about another big man? Have we given up on Patrick O Bryant already?

Yes

Why?

Is he a bust?

It seems a bit premature to give up on POB when he has not had a chance to play.

Please explain this to me.
