For those of you who don't know who he is, Paul Arizin joined the warriors in 1951 and was immediately top ten in the league in points, rebounds, FG%, and free throw %, and was an allstar. The next season he was the allstar game MVP and on the all-nba first team and led the league in FG%, ppg, FTM, FTA, Minutes, FGA, FGM, Games played, while staying in the top ten in FT% and Rebounds. He went on to make three all-nba first teams, ten allstar appearances, and in 1955 he teamed up with neil johnston to win a championship.

He was a truly dominant force who is often overlooked.

It's amazing that so many NBA players are dying these days

Here's some tough love from our beloved mod...

RIP, Paul Arizin. His numbers were incredible... although I've only seen some highlights of his era.

I know some people don't consider him a Warrior, as the team was still Philly's team, but I do. He's part of team's history, and he should be consider as one of the greatest Warriors ever.

I wasn't meaning any disrespect, just responding to that part of Pest's post.

Arizin will always be an alltime great of the franchise

I was more referring to the fact that the league is finally old enough to have our superstars die. Did you know that every NBA legend who has died died in the last eight years?

Many stars are dying. Hell even current stars have fallen, and they weren't even big names. Like that one guy on the Hawks last year, Thomas Herrion died of a heart failure, Red Auerbach just died recently, George Mikan, and even the kid from The U (Miami University) died who could've had a great NFL career. It's just life, we lose, then gain some.

Anyways, RIP Paul Arizin. Was not born in his era, but he had a great career according to many.
