I do not think the Warriors will win this one in Houston, but I do think they will come out compete and stay in the game. What is interesting about this Houston team has been not just the emergence of Yao Ming as a dominant center, but just watching Tracey McGrady slowly go the way of the buffalo.
I am not saying McGrady is not a good player, but he is not nearly the player he was a few seasons ago. He is at least a step slower, he does not get to the basket nearly as often and more or less settles for outside jump shots. He is not the player he once was and injuries have caused this to happen. On top of that, he is only 27. One would think he has been in the league at least 12-15 years because he just always seems to be around, but that is not the case. This will definitely be a game where the Warriors want to speed it up while Jeff Van Gundy and the Rockets will want to slow things down. If it gets into a half-court game where the Warriors are settling for jumpers it could be another long night. They need to get to the basket, draw some fouls and get to the line. On top of that their defense must get better than it has been the last few nights. I know Nellie is an offensive-minded coach, but the Warriors need to play SOME defense to win in this league. I think the Rockets will win by 11. They will pull away in the fourth quarter. |

This team is winning purely on strong D and the stellar play of Yao. I think AB matches up well with Yao T-mac is nowhere near what he once was. They really only have two offensive threats in Yao and T-mac (alston battier and head are ok). They beat teams they are supposed to beat and rarely win against the best of the west (ie the suns the spurs and the mavs). Even so its gonna be tough for us to win tonight. If we dont get to the basket and stop jacking up threes and long jumpers early in the shotclock were donefore. We have to get up and down to have any chance.

The Rockets are loaded in ways the Warriors will have to suffer from. Yao, Tmac, and the others. It'll be up to the Warriors to play defense, run on the break, and start contributing more than ever.

oy, another brutal start...Yao will get at least 40 tonight if he stays in...hard to watch, 50-27 right now and Yao has 21

This is disgusting! I feel like im going to barf! What is wrong with this team! Our D is horrible and even our supposed strong suit, offense, is horrible at the moment. 61-35 right now.

I dont post often, but I read alot. I havent missed more than a few games in the last 10 years......but this last 4 games is enough to make me change the channel.
I can handle losing (after all im a Warriors fan) but back to back ass kickings of this type makes me reavaluate the use of my time
