Mempis trade eddie jones and Hakim Warrick

Mempis get a rebounding guy and can shoot the ball from three point range and they get a smart basketball player at best and a young center that can be really good

Warriors
BD/monta/mcolud
Jrich/ jones/mickal
Warrick /jones/ mickal
ike /beidian/zroko

Eh... too much talent for those two. Jones is old and I don't want Warrick... plus two I like POB.

Memphis won't trade Hakim Warrick. They like him too much. Plus, they'd turn Eddie Jones' bad contract into Mike Dunleavy's... and we can all agree that Jones puts out more results. Troy Murphy and Patrick O'Bryant would be icing on the cake for them.

They won't trade Warrick, they don't want Dunleavy (they're already dealing with Mike Miller), and we're giving up too much talent (Murphy & O'Bryant > Warrick).

Red light.

Yeah, I was about to say that. Warrick has played sensational ball in place of Gasol's absence.

I still dunno if I buy the hype.

I mean, he abused the sorry ass New York Knicks for 22, 12, and 1. And he also took advantage of the Ben Wallace-less Pistons (who are still scrambling to adjust their inside D).

But the guy's game came back down against the Bobcats (who have sensational bigs). And his outing against Houston (whose PFs aren't studs, mind you) wasn't that impressive.

He's still too sporadic (which was his MO from last year). Don't get me wrong; the kid's special and will be a foundation for their team. But you can still tell he's wet behind the ears.

Players in this trade are quite meaningless. Eddie Jones is still good but not a player to use for 30mins a game anymore. He has some 2 or 3 years left. Warrick is intriguing but not someone I like. Getting rid of dun sure is a nice thought though

I love Warrick, and Jones is a expirer that would allow us to get rid of two of the worst contracts of the team (thus freeing up space for extensions for Monta this summer and Ike and Warrick the next one).

Where do I have to sign?

Sadly, on the other side, I can't see a single reason why Memphis would do it. I'm pretty sure Fratello wouldn't like any of the players they'd get... and it would tie up a lot of money.

Gasol and Murphy? In the same front court? AND Dunleavy, to boot?

Anybody wanting to get rid of Murphy so far clearly hasn't seen any games this season.

Although Murphy's rebounding numbers are down, the team's rebounding (as a whole) is up... meaning there are more players crashing the glass, which is why Murphy's individual numbers are down.

His shooting has never been better, either. The guy's playing great in Nelly's system.

Yeah, and we saw it tonight. At least 3 players were crashing the boards after a shot went up. Murphy doesn't have to average 10+ rpg as long as everyone boxes out and goes for the rebound.

And still, Murphy came out with 10 boards tonight! Even though Biedrins had 8 and Richardson had 9, Murphy was still crashing the boards... against Detroit (who, undoubtable, has better inside players and rebounders than us). He's a beast.

Not anymore. After losing Big Ben, they're barely average...

Dude... still.

(C) Nazr Mohammed = Andris Biedrins
(PF) Rasheed Wallace > Troy Murphy
(SF) Tayshaun Prince > Mike Dunleavy
(1st Bench) Antonio McDysse < Ike Diogu

I'm being generous, giving Biedrins the bennefit of the doubt, seeing as Nazr puts up more rebounds and just as many points in less minutes. And I'm not going to be a tool and pretend that because Nelly starts JRich or Pietrus at SF a couple times, they've suddenly become "bigs". They're shooting guards. End of story.

That being said, Detroit's big men beat us 2:1.
