Why is that?

Nelly will keep him in the rotation, as shown in the preseason. He's been praising Ike as of late. How do you figure Ike won't get his dues?

NOT EVERYONE WILL BE A STAR!

Diogu has been given less chance than Murphy and dun for example and this directly lowers his minutes which in turn lowers his opportunity to do well

Murphy is now a center. Just to clear that up.

And I seriously doubt Dunleavy will play as many minutes as he did last year. If Ike doesn't average at least 20 minutes a night, I'll be shocked.

Nelson's teams aren't about "stars", they're about team basketball. Dallas didn't become "The Dirk Show" until Nelly resigned. Prior to that, Nash, Finley, and the rest of the Mav's ran with Dirk. I expect the Warriors to be the same sort of team ball.

Don't worry about who starts; it's who finishes that matters.

It's who plays the most and who fits in that matters. Diogu doesn't look like either

I completely disagree. You don't need to play the most to be a major factor.

How big of a factor was Alonzo Mourning for the Heat last year?

Your problem is that you want Ike Diogu to play 40 minutes a night and average 20 and 10... when the truth is, NOBODY is going to do that. Everyone will rotate time.

Example last week he showed his potential in a preseason game with 25pts 8reb in 41 minutes but he committed 8 To's was gassed and the Warriors lost :!: Trying to rush Ike into stardom is not best for the TEAM or Ike :!:

It is a good point but the obvious thing that most of us see is that he has great skill and potential NOW but will likely not get much of a chance! This has been seen by Nelson's praise of players like dun, Murphy and Pietrus and no talk of Diogu. Also by Nelson's history of not taking to inside players and being a perimeter orientated, run and gun style coach

Game 1 of the season. Ike Diogu collects 25 minutes.

Proof enough for you, miggy?

That is good minutes and he will get such minutes if dun keeps playing like the way he did. The problem was that Diogu didn't perform all that well. He can do much better than that

Very true, can't argue with that. Diogu should have the edge over Dun no matter what though. Diogu can rebound and score, Dun can do neither of those.

The box score didn't reflect how well he did. Ike had a good game. When Ike was out, Turiaf went off on the Warriors. At least Ike managed to defend well... AND he had the Play of the Game.

Good to hear that. Up to Nelson to see this and give Diogu the greater opportunity

All that Ike wont play, wrong system talk was :bs: , Nellie said today "Ike has been putting in OT on learning the plays and it takes some people longer to catch on, that Ike will play for me".
