so how did Man land on the Moon? And why no other country.
How come its gonna take USA another 13 years to reach the silver planet with all todays age of new gizmo and technology....
When i see Russia or China or anyother country sticking there flag into the moon then i will be a 100% sure. But i can't believe America hasn't been back there for at least 30 years (WHY THE RUSH?)
How did we get there? With alot of hardwork, ingenuity and money....not to mention a Saturn V multistage liquid-fuel rocket.
Why's it going to take another 13 years? Pretty simple really. We're not going to go there using the apollo era technology are we? No, so that means.....yup thats right. We have to make an entirely new vehicle to get us there. Its not like they can just land a shuttle on the surface.
With all the problems they're having with the shuttles at the moment, I'd say that safety considerations would also be a large part of the time being spent. Lastly....the first time around it was a space "race" this time, they're the only ones planning on making the trip, why rush??
Why haven't they been back in the last thirty years? Well think of it like this. NASA gets a certain amount of funding, and out of that funding they dedicate varying slices of the pie to different projects. Out of 20 Apollo missions only 17 left the ground. The last three missions were cancelled. The shuttle missions became the new priority not long after the end of the apollo missions. What does that mean? It means that they had new priorities and therefore money had to be taken from the apollo missions to other projects.
Everything making sense now pawnmeister??
I can NOT believe I posted in this thread again....damnit
Cheers yah bastards.
