Yeah, that's my point... if your team doesn't improve enough, why do it?. You're losing flexibility for signings, and getting a worse draft pick due to it. If you don't even get to the playoffs, it's just not worth it.

Also why gamble on it? Where did the saying overpaying a player of Fisher's caliber worth the gamble come in? If you know, for a fact, but still have faith in him, why do it? Those little holes in what you believe and don't are the little things you lose out on. Overpaying is EXACTLY what HE'S done that put the Warriors in debt. Overpaying is EXACTLY what's costing most teams from receiving a happy ending. This only applies in sports though if you know where I'm getting. But seriously, overpaying is only done if you know for a fact that you'll go somewhere. And that somewhere is the playoffs...deep playoffs.

If he wasn't so damn expensive, I'd rather have him than those 3 Jazz punks. I understand the need to drop his contract... but he was reliable, clutch, and talented. I wish him the best in Utah (cause now he'll be both bored AND cold when the regular season ends ). GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD

He'll likely be trying to hit clutch shots in the playoffs for the Jazz :wink:
