Yeah, I know that guy. Not well, but I do know him. ”I have a genuine interest in both [the Pacers and the Warriors]. My only focus is getting back to the playoffs and eventually competing for a championship.” - Al Harrington

I'm gonna be honest; they're not what they used to be for incoming students. Those of us over 21 are enjoying it... but the first couple of years aren't up to par with the reputation. The school's trying to clean up it's image... two frat's that I partied at got shut down my Freshman year. St. Patrick's Day (which used to be one of Chico's biggest parties) now takes place during Spring Break (trying to send as many guys home as they can to prevent parties). Dorms parties are still cool... but they're not as frequent. And unless you know somebody, most parties (check, MOST, not all) won't let you in. Ivy is still bumpin at night... but, like I said, you need to know someone (unless you're traveling with 6-10 girls and you're the only guy). Chico (for the most part) has become an over 21 party place. Santa Barbara's probably overtaken us by now. But the SICKEST parties are down at Arizona State. Trust me on that one. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

ASU is for the parties...
UA is for the girls... (no offense to ike diogu, i'm sure he hit up the best of 'em.) |

I find that most fine chicks go to local community colleges and pretend that they're enrolled in state schools.
Chico's got some FINE women... but a lot of them go to Butte CC. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

didn't aaron rodgers attend butte?
i've been to a few community college campuses and there isn't a lot of eye candy. ccsf, foothill, csm... decent but probably not up to butte's standards. definitely not to UA's standards. but i'm biased. |

Butte's pretty fine... and so's Breas-..., er, West Valley back in the Bay.

Yo, i'm looking to apply to UCLA. What SAT scores allowed you to get into UCLA? I'd die to go there :p |
|
you want to get in there guaranteed? Most JCs have automatic matriculation agreements with the UCs, so you can get in as a junior, SAT or no - best kept secret in higher ed...save about 20,000 dollars, and get in as a junior. To Live is A Value Judgment - Albert Camus

i never really liked UCLA and its environment, because its not that laidback, relaxed, chill attitude you know. its sorta like the survival of the fittest at UCLA. pretty intense and competitive.
Well from what i do know, theres no real sure shot of getting into most bigtime schools as a freshmen no matter what GPA or SATs, but you can always increase your chances of gettin accepted by working hard, putting forth the effort in your classes, and trying your hardest. Effort goes a long way in life, And it doesn't matter what school you go to, CSU's or UC's. In the Golden State of Mind since '97.
