Right. And speculating on what somebody who played 30 years ago would average in today's game might never end. That said, I don't think I wanna get into it.

Wilts stats if he played in shaqs minutes and pace at 25 years old:

24.9 ppg, 12.6 rpg, 3.2 bpg, 1.2 apg, 0.8 spg, 50% fg shooting

Oscar's stats if he played in lebron's shoes with the same number of minutes as wilt:

21.6 ppg, 7 rpg, 7.9 apg, 0.8 bpg, 1.8 spg, 48% shooting

These stats look past the minutes and pace inflated numbers and give the real story of what their dominance looked like in their most dominant seasons. These are what their stats would look like adjusted to today's pace and minutes alone.

Wilt has an advantage of 3.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.4 bpg,
Oscar has an advantage of 5.7 apg, 1 spg

The worst you can say is that their numbers were even

But what you can say about these stats, are that they aren't nearly as dominant as the inflated ones are.

Let's look at Shaq in place of Wilt (32 will love this):

45.6 ppg, 27.2 rpg, 3.0 apg, 4.4 bpg, 1.5 spg

And Lebron in place of Oscar:

42.9 ppg, 11.3 rpg, 9.0 apg, 2.1 spg, 1.1 bpg

As you can see, these players were not only as good or better than their 60s counterparts, they were as dominant or better. I may have to rethink whether or not Shaq is the MDE after these stats as he may well be, all I know is that Wilt isn't.

Right on the money TMC.

Kobe is a better player in terms of an individual perspective, but Wade is the better player in terms of a team perspective.

and we all know the type of player most people prefer to have.
