AI would beat Kobe's ass in a fight, hands down. The height difference means nothing; Kobe couldn't even stand up to Raja Bell.

AI's also more of a ballhog (24 shot attempts per game on his career, compared to Kobe's 18 per night).

And, as far as whose the better player, it depends on what you value. AI's got inflated stat's on a team that, through the years, has had very few other scorers. Kobe got 3 rings standing next to Shaq. This is purely an opinion-based question, so nobody's answer is actually right. That said, I'll take Kobe because of 81 and superior defense.

AI wins everything except the ballhog category. Want proof?

Kobe run Shaq out of LA. THAT is the definition of a ballhog.

That's the definition of "selfish brat who wants all the glory".

The definition of "ballhog" is the guy who takes the most shots and never passes... in which case, AI wins by a mile.

ive seen kobe take shots from 45 feet in cruch time instead off passing it off..... AI knows when hes getting double teamed and if he cant beat it he passes, but he can usually break a 2 team... hes the best ball handler of his generation....

You said it right!

Iverson just has never had much talent on his teams

I think both sides are somewhat right here. AI is no pg, no matter how many assists he has or what position he plays, because his mentality is shoot-first, and he will only pass if there's no shot to take.

With that said, Kobe still will take some of those shots.

AI, even tho he's not a pg, even tho he can be labeled (rightfully so) as a ballhog, ain't as much a ballhog as Kobe.

It's true AI never had much talent to work with, but it's also true that he's a difficult player to work with. He needs players that could work in a role, and we all know that stars don't adapt too well to those situations.

Last season, Kobe Bryant averaged more shot attempts than Allen Iverson for the first time in their over-lapping careers. That being said... how is Kobe more of a ballhog...?

the numbers are tricky because kobe's seasons as a teenager obviously bring his Shot Attempts numbers down, so did shaq. Starting at age 21, kobe has averaged 22.29 shots per game if I'm adding the numbers right. That number will go up the more years he's on his own. Iverson has averaged 23.29 shots per game.
A) by the time kobe's had his own team for a few more years his shots per game will have surpassed AI's
B) I think that the guy who takes 1 more shot but gets 2 more assists is less selfish
C) Imagine what kobe's shots per game would be if the best teammates he ever had were derek coleman and shaq

Iverson shoots alot! I never said he didn't but he gets the ball to his teammates otherwise he would never get the assists he does! He has to shoot the way he does or his team would score very few points as they are not very talented!

Kobe has always taken it himself and last season was the first time he really exploded on the scene, Iverson has been doing that for some time now!

Iverson has done more with what he has than Kobe ever has and probably ever will

Lamar Odom was on his team... and... who else?

Kobe had Lamar Odom.

Iverson had Webber (a 20 PPG scorer), Korver (a 42% 3-point shooter), and Iguiodala (a rising, athletic stud, whose proven he can score). Three, legit offensive threats. Aside from sporatic nights of Smush Parker's supporting efforts (which didn't happen very often), Kobe's only other offensive option was Lamar Odom (and those two are notoriously bad together... they don't mesh at all). Kobe had 1 consistent weapon. Iverson had 3... AND he's the point guard!

Kobe also had Caron Butler. But he didn't like him and was also shipped out of town.

And Odom is better than all the supporting cast AI has on the Sixers. I like Iggy, but he's not there yet. Webber is on his last legs, still can score and get boards, but can't run or jump, so he's not the player he was. And Korver is strictly a shooter.

WEbber is old fat and frail, he is inconsistent i think i shoot 3's better than him at this point and Korver was benched several times because of inconsistency (i followed the 6ers a bit) and Iguodala only proved he can score in the rookie challenge. Otherwise I see him as a young Richardson who is still developing. So far he is just that. Kobe had Odom Kwame Parker. This was the 2nd year when he wasnt surrounded by amazing players. AI took that sort of quality to the Finals Kobe did................ :banghead: nothin...... loss to Phoenix...

Kwame and Parker are worse than Webber, Iggy, and Korver... and don't have the defensive presence of Dalembert. You can cut down Kobe and say that he lost to Phoenix in the 1st round, but Iverson didn't even make it to the playoffs this year... and he had a way better team.

Webber is not nearly as handicapped as people are making him seem. He doesn't hobble around on the court; he's still a capable contributer. 20 and 10 (like he got this season) isn't far from his best days (when he got 25 and 10). Webber's lost a step of explosiveness, but his midrange and post-moves make up for that. He's far from being a lifeless cancer.
