The quarters start today. My picks:
Germany over Argentina (I think Argentina is the better team, but Germany plays at home, and that's goign to be the key) Italy over Ukraine (Ukraine has 3 or 4 players decent enough to be on the world cup, the rest of the team s*cks, but they have had easy matchups so far) Portugal over England (This pick is more with the heart than the head. Portugal has several important players out for this game) Brazil over France (Our Spaniard referee will avenge our elimination, haha) |

if anyone remembers the pre-view sports illustrated did for the world cup, they predicted a brazil vs. france final.
um... someone dropped the ball. ha ha, no pun because its FUTBOL! ha ha, its totally 12:28 am. p.s. go germany (i'm 1/4), ukraine (i'm 1/8), england (i'm 1/8), and brazil (ronaldinho and i are long lost cousins). |

I'll have to go with Argentina not only to beat the powerful Germany but to win it all! Ukraine over Italy, a somewhat upset! I'd love to see Ukraine win it all! Imagine = The winner is........... Ukraine

I just went against Italy because they played Australia, but I like the competitiveness the italians show in each tournement. This time I'm rooting for them. If someone who has never won anything is going to win the world cup, I want it to be Portugal. Who cares about Ukraine? |

Italy has already qualified, with an impressive win against Germany in Dortmund, although it should have been easier, as they dominated the whole game... Pretty disappointing game by Germany.
