We should dump Murphy's contract for whatever expiring contract we can get:

To NOK for PJ Brown or Desmond Mason

To Milwaukee for Jamaal Magloire or Joe Smith

To Indiana for Austin Croshere

I don't care what the trade is, we just need to dump salary and we just don't need Troy Murphy.

i agree we dont need murphy. but we might as well get something for him.

if murph is traded, we're definitely gonna miss him! he's been the team leader in rebounds and is a pretty solid contributer point-wise. if he is traded, then we need to get a decent 4/5 in return.

I agree with frank & the guest person. Murphy's worth too much (trade wise) to simply resort to trading him away for expirers. He's more valuable as bait for a decent SF or C than simply as a contract dump.

That's right, Murphy is worth a fair bit and should be used to get a good SF or at least a decent player or a couple of 1st round draft picks if possible. Murphy, Fisher and this draft's 1st round pick for Josh Smith would be a good trade to go after

If we dump Murph for expirers, we better get some good draft pick(s) for him. We'd be better of keeping him, even if only as a sixth man.

What I mean is that we're not rebuilding, we're not going under the cap to sign anyone, why get rid of Murph for nothing?. If we do, it will be only a cheap move to save some of Cohan's money.

Draft picks would be good but keeping him as a bench player getting paid all that money, better off trading and getting someone else to do that as Murphy wouldn't accept that idea anyway

My thoughts exactly!
