Okay, I have a trade that absolutely nobody is going to like but it substantially helps the team shed some big money. Here goes (deep breath):
Orlando to the Warriors:
Grant Hill
Darko Milicic
Keyon Dooling
Warriors to Orlando:
Jason Richardson
Troy Murphy
Derek Fisher
We give Orlando what they want most, a top five two guard and we get back a very skilled young Euro to go with our current crop and a whole bunch of expiring money with Grant Hill. We get out from under Murphy and Fishers contracts and get get Dooling who can capably fill in for Fisher and move over to the two for short stretches. This leaves us thin at the two but between Pietrus, Ellis and Dooling we should be okay. If Grant can actually play it ends up just being a bonus. Remember, it's just an idea, don't nobody go postal just because I suggest trading J-Rich.

magic is never gon give up Darko
Don't you people get it?!? He doesn't intend to KEEP Grant Hill; it's a salary dump! Man, some people are thick...
But I'd still give it the red light. Anytime we give up Jason Richardson and don't recieve a Top 10 league player in return, I disregard the trade. Jason is the steal of the league (talent-to-contract wise). There's no reason to lose him.

Thanks for the moment of clarity #32. You're absolutely right about J-Rich being a steal. I just seriously worry that all the teams out there are going to gang up on Mullin and say,"No J-Rich, no dice. You gotta pay to play." They might even find value in the likes of Murphy and Fisher but everyone in the league know that J-Rich is the prize. It needs to be said that Mullin tied his own hands somewhat with all the big contracts he signed and he may have painted himself into a corner. It could be either J-Rich gets auctioned off to the highest bidder or we are all looking at YOUR 2006-2009 GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS!!! YAAAA, YAAAA, WOOO HOOO...barf, retch, puke...
Its possible to trade w/o J23 being involved. Yes, every GM may inquire but thats not realistically going to happen until 09/10 or 10/11. Changes will occur regardless. As stated before, all these overpriced W's will be alot more attractive in 2-4 years, while the young gunz will be barely cashing in. Right now we're one frontcourt player (whats up Ike) and a healthy BD away from the playoffs... no need to mention Monty cuz he'll be gone soon ---***030***---

Not true. Magic fans would love it.

The Knicks management wouldn't - They could offer Marbury, Francis and Curry for Grant Hill! Beat that Mullin

I think we would have a chance of getting some talent trading with the Knicks. They're always up to any stupid trade...

But those bastards seem to only have underachieving/overpaid/nevergoingtobe/pastit sacks of crap
Speaking of Orlando, they have a helluva salary dump this offseason... Grant AND Penny's huge contracts??? In the end, they've got 40 million to play with in the offseason... thats a lotta change.
Seeing as there are no really good free agents this year, I'd save that cash for the next off-season. Orlando's got enough bank to put Bill Gate's wife on a stripper pole.
