FT's aren't all about a series of motions like you listed, to be a sucessful FT you have to my your own rhythm and consistency using the same muscles and finding what's your "routine" and niche(karl malone, jason kidd, rip hamilton. etc).
and I think Andris Biedrins shoots like that because his whole life, he's been shooting FT's like that. It's hard to change in one day by looking at an animation. Its like telling Shaq to shoot differently but he cant.

NO offense BT ... but ...
Have you ever shot an underhand free throw? Have you ever taken ANY TIME AT ALL to a) discover how an expert suggests it should be done and then b) done it? Do you think that THAT would have ANY relevance to this conversation? Talk to me about what you KNOW about THIS SHOT! If you think so then HEAR THIS Mr. Biedrens could and would be shooting a minimum of ... OK .. like you say .. he SUCKS .. he's been doing it WRONG ALL HIS LIFE .. etc. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT ... {a major concession to complete and total failure} WITHIN A MAXIMUM OF THREE WEEKS !!! LOOK HERE all you supposedly INTELLIGENT PEOPLE .. THREE WEEKS ... MAXIMUM !!!

cuzyou said "would you like a free throw contest" if your a 70% FT shooter, and I'm an 89% FT shooter. there wouldnt really be any contest. and a Career 89% FT shooter through highschool, and AAU was alittle lower. New. Stuff.

I wouldnt know but just for you, in my next league game. I'll shoot underhanded when I get to the free throw and I'll tell you what happens.

NO offense again BT .. but ...
Is that the formula for success you would recommend for yourself and others? "the next time I'm in a game and I get to the line .. I'll try shooting it underhand?" Can we get your BRAIN exercised just enough to suggest there might be a better way? a) Find someone who KNOWS how to DO IT .. can demonstrate it OVER AND OVER and OVER ... b) Have them teach you precisely and specifically the "correct way" ... have them help you practice it until you can do it successfully ONCE, TWICE, THREE TIMES ... make 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 or 100 in a row ... IN PRACTICE until you've developed the routine as a HABIT ... then .. then .. then ... Did you know that Rick Barry can make a shot underhanded from ANYWHERE ??? Do you know how? and why? Come on BT .. do you really give a "schitt" about "The Golden State Warriors" .... "making free throws" ... learning the next best thing? Or are you just flapping your keyboard?
