troy murphy
mickael pietrus
derek fisher

go to the bucks

w's get

jamal magloire
joe smith

roughly something like that. i mean joe is good ft shooter , scorer and rebounder but he only gets 20 mins a game over there. some of you dont like this idea im sure but check it out. we get more athletic on the front line, who is experienced but in his prime at 31. a guy who can actually use both hands around the hoop to finish, pairing up with diogu and thats a potent pf spot. we get the low post presence of magloire. scoring and rebounding. biedrins and foyle can play roleplay for the most backup minutes. we get baron and jamaal back to all star form. and dont forget jason richardson...

baron/ellis,bynum
richardson/ellis
dunleavy/smith/whoever we draft should be a shooter and defender.
smith/diogu/biedrins
magloire/biedrins/foyle

why the bucks would do it.

ford/fish
redd/pietrus
simmons/pietrus
murphy
bogut

they get out of the long term contract of smith, add a good shooter at pf in murphy to pair up with bogut. both can rebound big time, and have offensive games. they get derek fisher as the guy who makes it only fair to the warriors to take on smith. also a guy in his prime. mickael pietrus they get the youthful, defensive player who has yet to blossom offensively, but has all the tools. so they rid a contract and not risk getting nothing for when jamaal is a free agent after next year.

Bucks wouldn't do it because they like the idea of losing 15mil when JM and JS contracts are up after next season. No team is going to let the Ws unload a bunch of contract at their expense. Why exactly would they covet Pietrus? They have Redd at the same position signed to bigger money than even J-Rich in the next 4-5 years. Speaking of which, J-Rich's contract is turning out to be the biggest bargain in the league. What does that mean? If the Warriors are prepared to trade him they have a chance of getting out from under Adonal, Murphy, Dunleavy, Fisher or any combination of those long contracts. I know everyone is going to howl at the idea of trading J-Rich but let's face it, for the financial health of the organization in the immediate future, that just might be necessary.

And that's why we shouldn't trade him. He's our best player and a bargain contract wise. We shouldn't trade him. Trade Baron or Dun instead (both have value, I'm sure there are several GMs willing to trade for Dun). Pietrus is also valuable as a player with good potential and a expirer next season. Murph puts up good numbers. All those players have trade value.

Foyle could be the most difficult to trade, but he'll be tradable in his last year for a team that wants to go under the cap. Until then, we should use him as a backup and try to get the best of him. He won't ever live up to his contract, but we'll be better off getting something out of him than trading J-Rich just for the sake of getting rid of Foyle.

btw, I like this trade with Milwaukee. I don't think they'd do it, but it'd be a great trade for us.
