we lack that nasty defense

Ok look at the warriors we have great components to make a talented team but we are missing the most important ingredient that will propell us to more wins, we need stop being so soft on defense step up a bit fellows, look at our fowards great offensively minded but way 2 soft on defense look at murpy and dunleavy 4 example we cant afford 2 be so soft, foyle, peutruis who i think should continue in getting more playin time do step it up on defense, wat we need 2 do is get someone nasty like kenyon martin who is filthy on the defensive end in exchange for j rich yes i said it move j rich and give peutruis more pt tyme. or we need 2 do an extensive search on getting a nasty power foward or center that will complete our team. what do u think
Defense is always the biggest factor and the Warriors are not doing it well enough right now. I wouldn't give up JRich for KMart! Murphy and dun for KMart and Buckner or even the newly acquired Patterson (he is a headcase though). Martin is an underachiever but he does block shots and scores and rebounds decently enough. He does get injured quite a bit
There's another K-Mart topic...
I admit K-Mart is one of my faves. I've always liked the way he plays, even if he looks better than he really is (not enough boards, and a bit challenged offensively, which shows without Kidd). He's also a good defender and a leader on the court. But he's damaged goods, as Hobbes pointed in the other thread. And his contract is a b*tch.
I wouldn't trade for him at that prize.

Great point! that alone would mean that the warriors should go for Nene more than anyone else in the Nuggets (since Camby is off limits) if a trade with the Nuggets ever happened.
The thing is the Nuggets have big guys who have severe injury problems -Nene out for the season, KMart injured a fair bit and Camby has always been injury prone! Best not to touch any of these guys!
NEVER, EVER talk about trading J-Rich...... Unless we get a proven 25pt scorer in return. In regards to " nasty " D, we need to bring back Uncle Cliffy & Speedy. Imagine this; A pesky Petrius@3, BD doing his "thang"@ the point, Foyle&Dre @ 5, & Cliffy seeing time @ 4-5. And in tight late game situations, Speedy@ the 1 & BD playing offguard. I know this wont happen but I'm just throwing it out there.--------------------------------------------------- **** 030 ****

Yeah, I can't stand all these Air France fans who are clamoring for a JRich trade to "make room" for a 12 ppg scorer with no other notable qualities.

(PS, don't respond whining about playing time. He's gotten it. In equal time as JRich - with, basically, equal touches, give or take 2 or 3 - he's only scoring 14 ppg. Trading away JRich to "make room" for this dude would be the dumbest thing since Richmond-for-Owens).
Dunleavy...? Hmmm... Pietrus' shot was cold last night and he was fouling left and right... Meanwhile Dunleavy (along with Rich and Fish) was one of the most clutch players in the 4th last night...
How about we leave the lineup where it is... and if we MUST trade somebody, it'll be Foyle.
