Well, Landry balances out the front court more than Martin would have. Aside from Lee, there wasn't an offensive big on the roster. Bogut, Ezeli, and Biedrins are all most useful on defense. Having Carl Landry around means the Warriors don't have to abandon their low-post play book when Lee sits out.
I think it's a smart addition; the backcourt clearly played much better on offense with Lee drawing coverage inside. Landry doesn't have Lee's ambidextrity or his hops, but he's double-tough on the block and acts as an expert in the offensive rebound department.
