Come on people, this is something that all of the true sports fans must love to watch. It's held every 4 years, so that makes it even more valuable and interesting, not counting in the long history of those games.

Fell asleep during the intro ( more tired than anything) started watching the games, no choice but to get excited so many people from different countries competeing at the highest level.
Saw the U.S.A women's soccer team playing against Columbia, U.S. won 3-0, US dominated but it was not until the end the extended their lead. The game got extra feisty, it looked like one of the U.S player Abby Wombat got sucker/soccer punched by one of the Columbian defenders that was not called by the refs. Also watched a bit of the cycling, swimming, now the women bball team will go up against Croatia. |

definitely will be watching my fair share of the olympics. Besides basketball and track, I don't plan on following a specific sport in particular, but to embrace competitions that I only get to see every 4 years.

I'm probably only going to watch the men's basketball. Hoping U.S.A. win it and want Australia to do well.

Loving the iPad/iPhone app so far. You can watch everything live. NBC here in the US usually tape delays everything.

Ugh, why did they have to get Fitz to call the basketball games.

On HDTV here in Australia, they go hop from event to event so you don't get to watch a full game of basketball, like last night's U.S. v France. Really annoys me.

I guess it's hard to make everyone happy...there is just too much going on. And this competition is also a lot about athletics, gymnastics, swimming etc., so they have to give a lot of time to that on TV...though, people would probably still like it more if they could watch team sports all the time.

That's terrible. In the states, its not perfect at all. The only way to really watch events live is through online streaming. But the basketball games have been live, fortunately. |

I always watch gymnastics and swimming. Those athletes amaze me.

Lucky enough to just catch the U.S vs Nigeria game, Melo was insane hit I think 9/11 from 3's. Scored 37 a U.S record, US won 156-73, they hit a total of 29 made 3's. Scored 81% from twos. They broke record for most points in a game, fun game to watch, called by our very own Fitz aka the guy that sounds like George Costanza with all the excitement in his voice, without the funniness.

dream team comparison wtf -- Kobe smoking. They are tied with Lithuania 5 min left in game ....
1. How many jump shots do you take til you realize to go inside 2. Play Kevin Love 3. Play Tyson Chandler 4. Play Iggy Kobe Durant Melo = zero passing, poor D. whatdya expect Coach K. Hey and what a great add Anthony Davis for Blake Griffin was. zero minutes. Retarded |

Durant getting absolutely abused in the post by Kleiza. Good luck trying to guard a Gasol. USA squeaks out an unimpressive win.

I think your a bit harsh rockybeli. Anthony has played amazing bball in international play. Durant has played decent before today as well. So i don't blame him on that. I do agree with you that Love/Chandler needs to play more so you have another big man in there. They have played great, but isn't a mainstay in Coach K's limited rotation.
CP3 playing 28 minutes is my biggest beef. Split some of that time with westbrook who is having a good olympics. |

Maybe. But this style of play is gonna bite them in the azz if they play the same way vs Spain. They only won by 5 to the #5 ranked team. I don't have a prob w/Anthony Davis if he actually has an impact. But he's 12th man. Better suited to put a vet in their who will get more minutes. Too many lineups of a bunch of SF's trying to pretend they're Centers (or Coach K thinks that). Superstars sure but it's still basketball and you still need height and size and guys who are used to defending the post. Durant and Lebron are mostly out of their element on D. If Kleiza is owning Durant imagine what one of the Gasol Bros will do.
