I drove by the Piers and on the way I saw that they are doing some kind of construction where the new arena is supposed to be. Is this official? They are obviously doing something there, lots of trailer tractors and signs.

BTW, I don't want the Warriors to have the stadium anywhere else in San Francisco. The Cow Palace is not better than Oracle. There would be no point in putting the arena by Candlestick because that is not an elegant area IMO. The only other place that would be OKAY would be right across the cove from ATT Park. If it was built anywhere else, than you mise well keep it in Oakland, since the Oracle isn't a bad arena. I want the Pier 30/32 area really bad. It will be tough traffic, but the positives outweigh the small negatives.

I haven't been by there but I don't think they've started to build anything. I think there is still a bunch of red tape they need to go through before they can start construction.

Oh i see. Well there doing something over there, not sure what.

They need to fix up the docks. Replace support beams etc, before they can do anything.

I walk my dog there once in awhile and I did it last Thursday. They have torn down quite of bit of stuff next to the location which I can only think they've done so they can have equipment there. But right now, it isn't pretty.
