Thought we'd have this thread for general discussion, articles, perhaps even rumours, whatsoever, about the upcoming draft.

Sixers Looking To Add Interior Defense, Perimeter Shooting
Jun 15, 2012 10:01 PM EDT

The Sixers are looking to add an interior presence to provide defensive support or a perimeter player who can generate offense.

“Bigs that can protect the rim and guys who can put the ball in the basket,” Sixers director of player personnel Courtney Witte said. “We know what our weaknesses are. We’d like to improve our shooting and we’d also like to get a big that can help us down the road also.”

Philadelphia’s first pick will be fifteenth. They also have the 45th and 54th picks.

“Every day you have to be more educated with the players,” Witte said. “We have background things going on—talking to the coaches. That’s the kind of process. The tape work, it’s still ongoing, but we’ve watched a lot of film on these players so now it’s more background talking with their agents, their coaches and the people involved in their lives and going over that kind of information.”

That means either Beal or Sullinger, perhaps even Barnes would be likeable to Philly's FO. Trade for Iguodala thus possible.

Houston Rockets deal Samuel Dalembert to Milwaukee Bucks, get 12th pick in NBA draft

The Houston Rockets have traded center Samuel Dalembert and the 14th pick in Thursday's NBA draft to the Milwaukee Bucks for the 12th pick and three players, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

In addition to the 12th pick, the Rockets will receive guard Shaun Livingston and forwards Jon Leuer and Jon Brockman. The deal allows the Rockets to move up in the draft as they continue to try to compile assets for a possible trade for Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard. Houston now owns the 12th, 16th and 18th picks.

This is the second trade in as many days for the Rockets, who acquired the 18th pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for forward Chase Budinger.

Dalembert played one season for the Rockets, averaging 7.5 points and seven rebounds in 65 games. Only $1.5 million of Dalembert's $6.7 million team option for next season is guaranteed, but the Bucks plan to keep him.

This is a day after the Rockets traded Chase Budinger to the TWolves for their #18.

I think Dalembert is worth a little kore than that and if the Rockets really want Dwight, Dalembert, a big Center, would have been worth more as he can fit in at Center in Orlando, even if as a backup or semi starter with someone else. Likely they'll want to trade all their #12, #16 and #18, along with Lowry and maybe someone else, to the Bobcats for the #2 and that'd be the best plan right now. Bobcats want a number of food players and are looking to trade the #2 and that might well work and be a coup for the Rockets. Do think Orlando would seriously look at something like the #2 and Scola, add one other player maybe.
