Celts spank Philly to go up 3-2. Bass having an unlikely monster game.

Thunder eliminate Lakers smashing them in the fourth quarter. Thunder go to the WCF to face the Spurs in what should be a great matchup. The future looks so good for the Thunder and they could be competing for championships for at least the next ten years. The best situation of all teams OKC seems to have.

As long as they are willing to spend th $$ to resign Ibaka.
They got a steal with re-signing Perkins with that trade for Green.
And that gave Ibaka the starting role, and he has been awesome.
Without I-block-Ya, this team is not championship caliber.

Then they got to look to sign Harden.... for a team that is considered small market and is known for trying to not overspend... it will be interesting to see what they do.

I think the spurs will win it... in 7. should be an epic series. It is being compared to the bulls vs pistons back in the late 80's, where Jordan and the young bulls couldn't beat the veteran pistons... they eventually did ok.

That trade of Green for Perkins was a great move. Perkins has been a great influence and Ibaka has been almost as significant as Westbrook and Durant. Ibaka is good defensively like none other right now. He has such energy and fits in great with that roster. They have to spend to keep the core they've got now, especially how they are already championship caliber.

Heat smashed Pacers to now up 3-2. Looks like being a rematch between Celts and Heat and this time, Celts are healthy and Heat have the injured great player. Last season, Heat got lucky with Rondo getting injured earlier in their series, but this time he is healthy and Bosh is missing. Really think the Heat will have a hard time beating Boston. KG should and has to have a huge series as the Heat have noone to oppose him. Likewise with Rondo.

This is probably the most important stat when you want to evaluate Iguodala, Migs:
9.5 - Pierce's FGA per 36 mins. when Iguodala is on the court vs. 17.3 when Iguodala is on bench.

And he is not just a defense specialist, but also cam dominate on rebounds, involves his teammates with assists, can score, slash, shoot...I can't see how you're getting less interested in him. The guy is a true baller.

Iguodala is indeed an allround player and a very good defender, but this season he has been worse allround and that's a concern. If he was on 10 million a year, he'd be worth that, but at 14 millio, I don't think so.

Philly beat Celts to tie it at 3-3 and take it to a seventh in Boston. Great series and Philly has done better than I thought they would.

Miami beat Indiana to win that series in six. Wade scored 41 and him and Lebron were amazing the last three games of that series. That duo is among the best in nba history and it will be interesting how far they can take the Heat.

yeah, Wade and LeBron were great in the series, even though they got away with some flopping and traveling (LeBron's 6 step dunk).

I wonder how much these two can do for this team. Bosh doesn't look like he is coming back anytime soon. And their bench in so inconsistent. Both Wade and LeBron have to bring it 100% each game. If one of them doesn't, they will lose. Simple as that.

Spurs beat Thunder in game one in a close contest. Looks real even and could go either way, any game.

Heat just beat Celts in game one. Celts shot like garbage and if they continue like that they'll win nothing.

well watching the entire Celtic-Heat game, the officials were clearly helping Miami. They weren't the reason why Miami won (boston couldn't defend the inside pass to save their life), but it was so egregious and obvious, that you had to wonder, what is the league doing.

How is it that LeBron gets away with traveling, but KG got 2 delay of games?

How was it that "Come on Eddie" (to official Ed Mallory) gave Doc Rivers a Technical?

How was a simple reaction to a terrible foul call (they said he fouled wade, when it was Wade who in fact pushed off and fell) on Ray Allen a Technical? Cmon, ray allen of all people!

HOW WAS IT THAT LEBRON SHOWING OFF THE BALL, SHOWBOATING, LAUGHING AT KG NOT A TECHNICAL TOWARDS THE END OF THE GAME? It wasn't like a one second showboat. he held it in place for a while, camera caught it all, and he STILL didn't get T'd up.

How was it that Miami would drive in and get every little bit of contact, yet when Pierce was hit, no call was made? He must of got hit 5 times.

There was a time where I stayed away from the league due to its awful officiating... I am getting real close again.

Yeah, that was garbage through and through. It was the same for Hawks-Celtics. Hawks were having the same reffing problems for the C's.

Oh well, Spurs have become so god damned dominant since their additions it really doesn't matter what happens in the ECF.

Spurs beat Thunder again in San Antonio to go up 2-0. Parker outplayed Westbrook again and really is again showing himself to be one of the best PGs and among the best big stage performers in the nba, still. The big three of the Thunder were incredible as they have been most of the season, accounting for 58 points in fact. Thunder have to get it from another player it looks to have a chance to win the series, because even with the three stars for them playing great as they did they still don't have enough. The Spurs are such an allround team that gets contributions from so many of their players. Really a beautiful team to watch perform and they deserve to win the championship.

Spurs are an awesome example of what basketball should look like. I'm not even a spurs can but have to give them props.

On the other hand OKC is struggling because if what I pointed out earlier, they don't move the ball enough. The half court offense is ISO for Durant or Westbrook. Harden is the only other player who can score or create a shoot. Ibaka is going to have to learn to shoot the ball, or develope some low post move. That or they need to get a center who can score. Both their bigs can't generate offense.

I have an impression that NBA want Heat to win this year. They put that vid on ESPN with Lebron in slow motion going alone in fast break for easy dunk with locomotion sounds. But if you watched last year's playoffs, you could clearly see that NBA wanted Mavericks to win, e.g. in game 3 Heat had 30 fouls to Mavericks 15! That was so painful to watch. Heat still won that game by 1 or 2 points but they were broken by the end of game and we know what happened afterwards. I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories but I think that games and series get fixed in backstage and officials helping is not the only way it is done. It could be a lot of small things that in the end sum up and Stern gets what he wants.
