Former Warrior:
Jamal Crawford: is having a poor season for Portland this year.

We should still try to get that lottery pick, for as long as we have a chance.

That goes without saying. Every game has to be a loss, but the players and coach don't think that way

Well, if they wanna win 1 or 2 more games now, then they don't need to think that way. But, if they want to get some wins next year, and finally reach the POs, they better start thinking the right way. Or we're gonna have another mid-range season.

See I think the roster healthy as is, is a playoff team, anywhere from fourth to eighth seed. I want the team to be a contender and for that the team could do so much easier having a lottery pick and then, to me, use that lottery pick in a trade for a real good SF, the hole of the team right now.

I do think GWallace, who is a free agent this offseason, is a very good fit and can be had for 7 million a year. He is not a star like player any more it seems since he left Bobcats, but he plays both ends very well and the defense especially is better than most. By getting him, having to trade at least DWright's expirer for some team's 2nd rounder or something similar, would mean the FO could then keep the lottery pick, aiming for a very good backup big is probably the next biggest weakness. Maybe trade the lottery pick and something like DLee for a great PF, like JSmith. I'd rather PGasol, but he's probably unattainable even for that amount.

That lottery pick is really quite essential for the team to have any chance of becoming a contender
