I don't know if I agree with his take that this last trade was as terrible as he makes it seem, but his recap of Warriors history is hilarious and makes me feel bad for the older fans who have had to endure this crap for so long.
Great article on Warriors history by Bill Simmons

Great read, thanks for sharing!
I agree, he kinda shows a lack of faith in the Bogut deal - which I don't share, but the first 55 points are all accurately heart-wrenching. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Not the first article I've read like that. This franchise has been disgraceful the last thirty plus years, but I'm living in the present and right now there is a chance of things being better in the immediate future at least.
The franchise has new ownership and therefore there should be different decisions made. Hopefully they'll be very good decisions. ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

That was brutal to read. I had forgot about the Russell Cross pick and some of that other stuff from the 80's.

Man... I forgot about some the more recent Aqquistions. I seriously SMH when I saw the name Patrick O'Bryant... Wonder what he is doing now? probably selling used cars in his hometown. |

It is a well done article indeed... I truly enjoy how much knowledge Simmons has on Basketball. He is a man who has devoted his life on studying the game and its players.
The sad part is that the final 5 points was just within the last couple years. We still our shooting ourselves in the foot. When will this end!?!? |

Simmons has a soft spot for historically relevant franchises, especially those that have a tragic past. The Warriors are a perfect fit, given that the last 30 or so years read like a Greek tragedy, as evidenced by this article.
