That is not a bad trade considering Udoh is looking like the backup PF and Brown the Backup C. Tyler is there if someone gets hurt, but probably won't see much game time. Only question I have is if he will be a backup 2 or 3. He is listed 1 inch smaller then Klay, but was hoping Klay would play 2 so he can get time at his natural spot.
Dont know much about rush, looks like he could be a scorer off the bench. Hopefully he can play some D. Also he is a restricted FA next year, so don't have to worry about a cap hit. "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

I have always liked Rush because he seems like a role player that is fine with being just a role player. We've had other guys with similar skills these past few years but those guys thought they were better than "just" a role player. As for Lou, never thought much of him. He played hard which was awesome but he never seemed to make much of an impact. I really doubt anyone is going to be saying "I wish Lou Amundson was still here" this season. Mr. Rand-McAlly

I like the trade. I was never a fan of Lou, though I think really good of him as a person. I just don't think he was giving us something we needed on defense. Wasn't good rebounder, his defense is not that great, and his offense is pathetic.
And in Brandon Rush we get a player who is better than Reggie Williams, and a lot of people moaned about Reggie leaving. ![]() ![]() |

Yeah i like Brandon Rush.. He can definately hit the 3 point.. will be a good enough perimeter defender & can come off the bench and generate some points.

Credit to Lou, he did have one of the best man ponytails the NBA has ever seen.

Ok so now this will be interesting to see how mark handles the rotation. Rush is good enough to be getting mins. So does he play backup SG at 6'6 who can defend and score? And then Klay needs mins to grow into his potential, so does he play backup SF for now? Wha about McGuire. He seemed solid defender at the 3, has nice size and can play well near the basket. It will be interesting to see how many mins everyone gets. Also I am interested to see who wins the backup PG duties. Ish smith is smaller but faster and has more NBA experience. Charles Jenkins is quick, strong, bigger and has somesolid skills for a rookie.
One thing for sure, we now have a decent bench, way better then last year. Even if one person gets hurt we have decent backup who can play that spot. It will be nice not seeing Vladimir play Center "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

Not a huge Brandon Rush guy, but I think he can contribute here. Play some D, hit some threes. If we're healthy, I really don't see Amundson getting on the floor.

For only having like one week of practice, Rush looks really good off the bench. Looks like Klay will play the 3 more.

My bad on Brandon Rush.. Got him mistakened for Kareem Rush when I said he'd be a good role player.. None the less. I like him in our rotation.

This trade is looking more lopsided by the game... Good for us!!!

I thought the same thing, but now.... Wow! This was a slam dunk for our front office. If he keeps this up he might make Ellis expendable. |
