he's 18.

he's going up against the top seniors in the country ... same talent level as him. first highlight [nice block, bogus foul call] was against Austin Rivers - #1 prospect - he DOMINATED defensively.

This.

And I agree with your earlier point Guybrush, Kawhi Leonard would also be a good pick up. If we don't pick up a new starting SF I want Biyombo.. shoulda had Gordon Hayward last year!! >.< took him nearly till the last game of the season [or was it the last? against LA] to break out.

funny how lacob went to africa, a month before the draft of all places with his fiance'. biyombo is from the congo, not sure if he resides there still? anyway, a guy with that kind of athleticism, and size, if he really is 18 or even 20, and just learning the game is worth a look at #11.
"Losing is inevitably close to winning," Guber said. "They're inches apart. Drama. If you have drama, you've got a ticket to sell." "They're not real fans," Lacob said. "They don't have season tickets."

the lottery is tomorrow (or today, rather) so we'll find out whether or not we'd be able to get him... if the draft started today just based on worst records, chad ford's mock draft says that detroit would target biyombo...

lets jump 5 spots [-o<

Biyombo at #11 would be a reach. Chad Ford's mock drafts aren't known to be very accurate. The guy had Hassan Whiteside going in the lottery last year and he ended up in the second round. The last time Warriors took such a reach was with Ike Diogu, who was projected as a late first rounder and the W's took him at #9. I have a feeling Biyombo will be a mid to late first round pick.

I'd focus on Kawhi Leonard as their first round target.

The only African player to ever reach his potential was Olajuwon.

What about Mutombo? Don't jump to conclusions. :) And it's not like there were tons of them in the NBA.

Serge Ibaka is also doing pretty well for himself... who I compare Biyombo to ... perhaps with less offensive game but equal or better defensively

Olajuwon is a hall of famer with skills to his basketball game. That would be a dream if Warriors can get a talent like Olajuwon when he was a rookie or develop one like Olajuwon
