Yeah, but Udoh is not a center. We play him there because we don't have a center. Monta is better PG than Curry. Curry is a overrated SG with good 3pt but, short, with no defense, and he is not a PG. Getting a real PG in draft and a center via trade is the best move for us. And i don't mean Fredette. I don't want another Curry.

curry, monete, and lee are for sure star type of players, we need to keep em and add new pieces, not trade em away, we already traded away j-rich for murphy's expiring contract which was a dumbest fkin **** move ever. get rid of bell, acie, radman, and AB those **** players 1st before we gonna start thinkin about moving our starters pls

I'm happy with the Curry/Monta back court too, doesn't matter who is PG and SG, they can flip flop no problem. We just need a 3rd guard coming off the bench with size, and who can still shoot it well. let's see what Lin can do... he actually plays hard and has decent Defense. But I don't think he can shoot the ball well.

I like the idea of drafting a guy like Kemba, or Knight, who can be a solid backup PG/SG (Alec Burk is suppose to be solid, but haven't seen him play). My preference if they are available is a guy like Perry Jones, or Jan Vasely, can guard 2,3,4 positions, and can score. They have good size for the backup SF spot. If they are not avaiable, then Jonas Valancuinas. He can be a project, with potiential to be a solid Center.

Anything we get in the draft probably won't be a franchise changer and will needs some work, so this should be considered a long term investment. Since we don't have a Center with size, I think Jonas might be the best choice. If not him, then Montejunas. If they develope in 2/3 years we won't have to re-sign Beans or Lee for monster contracts, giving us the flexbility to keep Wright/Curry/Udoh etc.

If you draft one of the big guys, you can have the flexibility to gamble on a Center FA. Gamble on Oden, and if he is hurt, then you still have Beans/Draft#1/Draft#2/Udoh, who can fill in at Center. And then if Udoh, develops to be solid PF, he can eventualy replace Lee.

You know what, at the 11 spot, it really comes down to what is available. The best way to do it is create a list of top 11 players and then cross them off as they become unavailable.

I think if we get a good lottery pick that it should be packaged with Biedrins for a solid scoring center or defensive PF, and 2nd round pick should be used for a defensive + tall SG that can guard Pg-SF

I don't see another team out there that has 3 star players and not a playoff team. Not only are they not a playoff team, but they're the 4th worse team in the West. When you say "star" players, you're lumping them in the same class as Lebron James or Kobe Bryant. The Heat haven't exactly taken over the league by storm with their 3 stars, but they are 54-23. How many people can name the other two starters for the Heat or their bench players? Okay, they're star "type" players, but even that should result in a better record.

Curry Ellis Lee trio are our top players which is exactly the problem, because they are some of the worst defenders in the league.

Monta Ellis might be the worst defender in the league. reason being is he was bad when he came into the league and he hasn't really grown much from it. so this seems to be his ceiling. the same mistakes he made his rookie season, he's making now. his defensive IQ is still crap, as is his effort. he still gets lost out there. how many times have we seen him stupidly foul at end of games this year? he plays overly-gamble D, which is why his steals are up... which masks his defensive effectiveness. like a DB who gets a lot of INT's but also gives up 4 TD's a game. ok I'm getting off track, but my thinking is the trio needs to break up or the Warriors will always be at a major defensive disadvantage. so the question is, who should go?
IMO Curry is about as untouchable as you can get because of his PG position, youth, potential, and skills he's already shown. do you remember a Monta as PG team? the ball movement was horrid. Monta is as much of a PG that Iverson was. David Lee, although he carries a hefty contract, is still a good player and recent all star who brings stability and multi-faceted production to the PF position - he can reb, score, and pass...something the W's haven't had since Webber. that leaves Monta, who's value is at the highest it's been for a while. although his number's are misleading and the W's still haven't done much with him as "the man." did you know that ONE-THIRD of the games this year he's averaged less than 40% fg? that wouldn't be such a problem if he didn't lead the league in FGA's. when your shot is off 1/3 of the time, that hurts the team. I think Monta should be the first the name on the list in attempt to attain a GOOD player back.

We need to bring in a better coach and quit imploding the team every few years like we always do. If we trade Monta now it'll be someone elses fault down the line. Lets try & build some actual chemistry. Replace Dorrell Wright with someone like Marcus Morris of Kansas [good scoring/rebounding/DEFENDING SF] seeing as D-Wright can't defend for **** either. I like Udoh at Center [especially given his playing time] ... he seems to improve every time I see him. If we could get a starting SF and another big in this draft, it'd be a success.

One guy who I really like if he comes out this year is UConn's Jeremy Lamb. This guy has already shown much improvement in his first year, being a good 2nd option on a national championship team. He played best on the biggest stages helping lead that team to win 2 of the biggest tournaments in college basketball. He played great in the NCAA tournament shooting around 60% from the field and over 70% from three. He is also about 6'5-6'6 with room to grow, and very athletic. He just did a great job holding Butler's Shelvin Mack (another future NBA player) to a poor shooting night. Lamb could be a great 3rd guy to add to our backcourt/ play some 3.
Also if he pans out to be an above average shooting guard, it makes trading one of Monta or Curry much easier.

Marcus Morris would also be a solid pick, but don't know if the Morris brothers are coming out this year, or if he will be available towards the end of the lottery.

And no Monta Ellis is NOT the worst defender in the league. Ask some of the best SGs and PGs in the league like Kobe and Rose. If you watch our games you would realize that our scheme is designed around our guards cheating off their men to gamble and clog the passing lanes. It's why all of our guards look terrible on defense, because it doesn't work. All guards in this league look terrible on defense without a coach that designs solid defensive schemes. However, you are right that his defensive IQ is not great, but name one player on our team with a good defensive IQ besides Udoh, whose defensive IQ has gotten arguably worse under our coaching and scheme. One thing I'd really like to see Ellis improve on defense, as it leads to him getting burned a lot, is that he is poor at fighting through/ getting around screens. This should be improved by better defensive coaching and communication. Don't be such a Monta hater Rocky.

I think we need to draft the best player available. The team's biggest problem isn't their defense UNLESS you're trying to win a title next year. They could easily make the playoffs as a 7-8 seed if they simply had legitimate depth. Right now, we've got an under-utilized Reggie Williams and then...? Udoh is out of position at C, but he plays so damn well you can't possibly be willing to trade him right now. He would make an awesome sixth-man defensive specialist for any opposing SF/PF/C (assuming Biedrins was good enough to start).

Whoever we get, make sure it's someone worth playing time, and give them playing time. Also, knowing who our coach is next year and NOT having Keith Smart coaching for his life every night would help tremendously with the depth issue.

You cannot convince me that teams like Utah, Phoenix, Houston and Memphis have a better starting 5 than the Warriors with Curry/Monta/Wright/Lee/Udoh. You cannot do it. Our depth and inflexibility (cannot really play big or defend the post) are bigger reasons for our defensive woes than just blaming Curry and Monta.

This is a SF rich draft. No bigs worthy of our 1st round pick [for where we'll be picking]. Seems like the smartest thing to do would be get a new starting SF [Marcus Morris or Terrence Jones for example] so we can move D-Wright to the bench. BOOM. Bench scoring solved and a better defender at the SF position. Get a back up big or PG in the 2nd and a FA signing or 2... we could easily be the 8th seed.

What about Kawhi Leonard? I think he would be the best option out of those small forwards. Marcus Morris might be gone by the time we pick. And, like you said we won't be able to draft any bigs with our pick. We could get Bismack, but at that point it would be a reach, even though he's climbing the boards.

We can try to pick some prospect in the second and see if we can develop him. I mean center or even power forward. Keith Benson comes to mind.

The kid is playing for Partizan Belgrade, so I had a lot of chance to watch him play. He is a talented guy, but I got a feeling that he never had a great game when it was against bigger European teams or important matches. He's really athletic, but he's not the best shooter, and he is good at defense, but sometimes it looks like he disappears. Still needs a lot of work, in my opinion, and I'm not sure that he'll have a big impact in NBA...at least not immediately. Much like Darko Milicic. I was against the idea of Darko going out to the NBA that early, he was still really unpolished, even though he did have a great amount of potential. In the end, he wasted a lot of years in Detroit and never became a player he could have been.

I have the same feeling about Vesely, just with less potential, and a bit less chance to fail as well.
