I know he had injuries and never played consistently up until now, but i believe we should give our best effort to sign this guy next summer. He is just to good to ignore.

Too good based on what? Getting injured? For the money that will be required, he's far too much of an injury risk. Why not let another team take that gamble, and let the Warriors focus on their current group.

Do you believe that he will keep on hurting and never play in the nba? I think that he had his share of bad luck and he has potential to be an all star player. All star center's can't be found easily. I would take that chance.

If odom was willing to accept a 2 year, 5 mill contract, i would do it if I were the warriors. However, this is the NBA, so one team will give him a 5 year 30 million dollar deal (at least) on potential alone.

In case you guys missed 8th ave's point, it is Oden, not Odom..
Odom plays for the lakers and just signed an extension. "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

I've changed the title so there's no more confusion.

It's one thing to have one major injury it's another to have..... Oden is our B Wright.... I know guy is seven feet but wants good if he is always in street clothses?? |

Rumors i read say that the Warriors may be interested in signing Yao because they want to satisfy the large population of Asian people in San Francisco. I am sorry but if i want to sign a center with bad medical issues in his past i would prefer Oden for his age and potential. Yao said more than once this season that he want's to return in the NBA but he is not sure. And he said that before the latest surgery.

The Rockets should try Yao and many teams will want him just for his expiring contract. The Rockets should send him East for a good Center and some other players ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

If you can get him in a sign and trade for Biedriens and some unvalued pieces then that would be a great pick up. If not id still sign him 2 years 10 million if he continues to get injured then that sucks but its pretty short term anyways. The guy is a monster if you look at his per 48 mins avg.

I don't know the rules for trading in the NBA so my idea may not be valid. I would try to trade his contract with some of my expiring contracts now. That would give me time to evaluate his medical condition until summer and to decide if i will much any offer given to him.
