Our offense looks improved [less reliant on 3 pointers... more balance]. Biedrins looks like he can be that 10/10 guy we need at the 5. Defense might be slightly improved but still looks sh*tty [saw at least 10 drives in the first half where Rockets player would get past Warriors player and rest of Warriors would just stand still and watch him drive the lane and finish]

Several issues about this game.
1. Stern has the worst refs ... period. 2. Forget the back-up guard experiment (Reggie Williams is our best option at guard off the bench) 3. Rebounding is defense ... the field goal percentage allowed isn't great but any game we outrebound is a step to good defense |

Huge amount of free throws for Rockets, and our offense is still putting us in the lead.
The defense isn't as awful as first thought it was, but fouls are killing us. ![]() ![]() |

Having 2 players over 6'7 on the court at the same time can work wonders

Agreed. Though, at one time we played Rad at center and D. Wright on PF, if I remember correctly...that was ugly. ![]() ![]() |

looked much better from what I saw...MUCH better rebounding, all (cept biedrins) starters* in double digits, and the biggest thing I think is that Monta and Curry got good stat lines while on the floor together. I think that is huge.

Good win. Monta scored alot, don't expect that much at all, look how well he shot. Defense is as I thought, not good at all

living in sacramento, i am all to familiar with my second least favorite player in the NBA. And thats EXACTLY why i hate him. He plays for the foul and the league gives it to this guy. WHat a joke! |
No problem with the first two parts of the statement. Only problem with the last part is there are precious few rebounds when you let the opponent shoot 80% from the field!!! It's only 1st game, but I hope they play a little more defense that that. It could take all year for them to get adjusted to new defensive philosophy (i.e. to HAVE a defensive philosophy), but should improve. I'm hyped anyway. It's obvious there's more talent than last year and won't be AS dependent on guard play to even have a chance. Should be fun... |

Yeah, Russillo went off on the refs rewarding the offensive equivalent to defensive floppers on his podcast yesterday and I agree. There used to be a few players that you knew were gonna get those calls, but now it's almost any jagoff that goes flying into the lane. |
