100 F = 38 C

80 F = 27 C

100 - 80 = 20

38 - 27 = 11

20 - 11 = 9; That's 9 degrees of more accuracy.

I'm not saying US system (imperial) > metric though, metric is better IMO because it is waaaay easier to convert.

As an American that is familiar with both systems, I don't care what we use but in reality it is a bigger hindrance for other nations that we don't use the metric system because the massive majority of international media (books, movies, video games, etc.) that is either produced in the US or targeting the US market utilizes the imperial system for our benefit.

Little off topic: Out of curiosity googled "why the US doesn't us the metric system" and it's just crazy the volume of senseless anti-American comments you receive when you try to look at anything like that, people are so ignorant.

I was just thinking about that yesterday... I wonder if Farenheit Air Conditioning systems cost more then the Celcius Air Conditioning systems.

I asked that cause of the Electronics and being able to measure the PRECISENESS of the Temp!

You know i couldn't really be fucked researching something like that... But it just got me thinking & am baffled that's what we waffling on in the Random Babble at the moment.

Well, yes and no. For example, if we are watching the weather or something, then yeah, it is much easier to see things through Fahrenheit then Celsius for the typical person. But when it comes to the actual science of measurement (ala to see what is an exact true measure, then Celsius is used (that is why scientists measure in Celsius). I had to do research for a class a long time ago on this matter.

I'm not sure I understand where your going with that - I wasn't referring to what was easier to go by, but in no way can Celsius be considered more accurate, only a more precise unit of measure could be more accurate then Fahrenheit.

There is no quantifying measurement of temperature - meaning that you can never say with 100% certainty that this is the exact temperature any any given place for any give time. In other words you can never say exactly what temperature it is - even in Fahrenheit the decimal places would be infinite (98.123456789...). This isn't a matter of what measurement scientist or anyone use, rather this is a statistical dilemma:

Think of it this way - you take a pencil that is 5" long and a shorter pencil that is 4" now you are supposed to sharpen a pencil for every size in between those two sizes and there is no specified increment - how many pencils would you sharpen? Remember that there is no increment, meaning you can sharpen one down a millimeter shorter than the longer pencil or a 1/2"... Would you cut 25? Since that is about how many millimeters in a inch? The amount would be infinite. As is the raise of the mercury in a thermometer.

All I'm saying is that fact is that Fahrenheit offers a greater level of precision, and that is an unarguable truth. Although the metric system is easier and makes more sense for converting measures - in some instances it is inferior when it comes to precision.

I got pulled over by CHP yesterday for speeding... he said i was going 80 on a 65. It was probably more like 75 on a 65 (AND its highway 5, which is a fast highway in nature). Anyways, I thought it was ridiculous. Now i gotta fork over 250 bucks, plus driving school.

A technique for dealing with Police is to exit the vehicle and look them eye to eye.

Never remain in the vehicle (unless he tells you to do so) the fact that they look down at the guilty man behind the steering wheel means the likelyhood of recieving a ticket increases.

Driving school is a good thing - you get to reduce that insurance point. Take it online if you get the chance - it's easy to cheat online and be done with it in a couple of hours. I've done it a couple of times now and it's cake - PM me if you do choose to take it online and I'll let you know which website to go to and I'll tell you how to cheat it.

Not in California man - YOU STAY IN THE VEHICLE! Never get out unless they tell you to, and if they do - you're probably in trouble.

Maybe cops are friendlier in Australia. But California needs a protocol considering how many people own firearms. Stay in the car, hands on the wheel. Safety of Officer is paramount!

Yeah, what JReed said, you MUST stay in the car. They will take aim at you the second you do anything.

As for the driving school, yeah i plan on doing it online. I need to find a place that serves my county though (sometimes what works in one county wont work in another).

yeah I figured that, but here they give you a list of online schools to choose from and the list is pretty big - I bet many of them are the same for most California counties.

I really like the driving school rule. No point loss for first time offenders.

Last time I was in Vegas was about 9-10 years ago and I was only 16, so I can't really say. I went to see the Nascar race and didn't really spend much time in the casinos.
