I expect some Pac-10 teams to crawl up the top 25, USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, and even the Huskies, Pac-10 got no love.

Major blow for his repeat as a Heisman winner, and of course for Alabama major blow. I live in San Jose, college football here is dead, but am watching them a glance, hope this year proves well for them. But even with the injury to Ingram Alabama should not have a problem.

Alabama will be without junior running back Mark Ingram for Saturday's opener against visiting San Jose State, and probably longer, after the Heisman Trophy winner underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday morning.

Ingram suffered the injury late in Monday's practice, and Alabama coach Nick Saban said it was a "situation where everyone thought it would be better to take care of now, so he would not have any issues with it later in the season."

Although Alabama officials are ruling Ingram out only for the first game at this point, it's unlikely he would be able to get back in time for the Crimson Tide's second game, against No. 19 Penn State on Sept. 11 in Tuscaloosa. Saban said Ingram would be managed on a week-to-week basis after Saturday.

Luck has the composure, can make the right throws, what got me is he is way more athletic than he looks, he ran all over UCLA last week.

As a senior, Luck was ranked as high as the No. 4 quarterback in the nation by Scout.com, the No. 5 overall recruit in Texas and the No. 47 overall recruit in the nation. Rivals.com tabbed him No. 1 on its list of the most accurate quarterbacks in the country.

Dang, no offense to Standford by why did this kid go there? Probably guaranteed PT in a BCS conference but still crazy that they were able to grab a guy like this after being bad for so long.

So true, reason Stanford picked him up was because of their head coach Jim Harbaugh (former NFL QB), he recruited well and sold the program to Luck and many other top recruits, now they looking like the best team in the PAC-10. Luck is also extremely smart, he was valedictorian of his high school and Standford academics appealed to him.
