You use the flash button and you must specify the width and height

this is for the following video:

Code: Select all: [flash=640,385]http://www.youtube.com/v/8cky_ffCikw&hl=en_US&fs=1[/flash]

You can get width and height of the video by clicking the embed button on youtube and copy the URL:

Regarding the flash not being visable, there is a setting in the Administrator Control Panel that enables or disables the ability to use flash in posts. Check that to see if it is disabled although perhaps hobbes does not want the use of flash.

Also, much easier way to do youtube is for hobbes to add youtube as a BBCode so there is a button for it:

In the ACP you can add custom BBCodes. Here is the code to add youtube:

BBCode usage:

Code: Select all: [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v={IDENTIFIER}[/youtube]

HTML Replacement:

then "check" the "Display on posting page" and submit then you will have a nifty youtube button that will allow the users to just copy and paste the URL in between the youtube tags.

I have no clue what you just said there... sounds legit though. Something Jreed and hobbes probably know a lot more about and might be able to do if they seem fit.

Let me know if I am off base.

I fixed your link, Pawno. It seems that the problem was because there was "feature" in the link. I just searched for that link again, and copied that link without feature in it. Don't know if this is understandable, lol.
