I don't think it's stupid cuz he'd fit in with the Celtics or Heat....I think it's stupid cuz he'd have a better chance of winning, with the Celtics or Heat. But at the same time, it might be kinda smart in that he might be able to get a longer contract out of the Bobcats than he would with Boston or Miami.

I've said it before, I'd be so satisified making milions a year that'd after a few years, I'd want to be a part of a winning team

Yeah but knowing that he's about to miss out on $13mil this year, he may be looking more for job security or a longer contract to make up for the money he's going to lose (like what Richard Jefferson tried to do). $13mil about to be nullified so take: $1-2mil for only one year? Or $3-4mil/yr for 3 years?

He's already made millions in his nba career, he should be ooking for something he hasn't had yet, like being part of a championship team

Don't know how i would feel if i were a multi millionaire like these guys. Maybe the security is too much to pass up. Its easy to say I would play for a mil if you are surviving on much less a year. But who knows how you'd feel if you had the opportunity to actually make more.

You have no idea what kinda taxes he pays, what businesses he's invested in that have failed, you don't know his financial situation in the least bit ..

You have to prioritise. I am not that materialistic and even with many millions, you can organise your life around that and not constantly need many millions every year just to keep going. Personally, I would much rather end my career looking to be part of a winning team, if indeed I hadn't been part of one yet, rather than anything else. Surely, you have a good life after making many millions over a number of years in your career.

Imagine how great it'd be with millions like many nba players have. Life is set, as well as that of your family and even closest friends

Easy to say when you've never experienced that type of money. All sorts of legal issues can fu*k with his paper. That's just one thing that irks me ... when ppl complain about athletes taking $ over winning.

James Jones and Jamal Magloire have resigned with the Heat. That gives them almost a complete roster.

So far they have: Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Haslem, Ilgauskas, Magloire, Joel Anthony, Chalmers, James Jones and their rookie Pittman. Another two and they're pretty set

Pardon me, correct and they've just added Juwon Howard. Alot of hasbeens on this Heat team, definately an old team, but that experience may end up good for them, either that or the hasbeens just can't produce enough for them

I feel sorry for Chalmers - the dude is going to have all this pressure on him to be a pg on a championship team, much like early Rondo, but he is never going to have the ball in his hands. He had a good rookie year but now he has no room for growth when compared to the situation Rondo was in a couple of years ago. On the other hand, if has scrub DNA, he just hit the jackpot.
I am Aussiebiedrins' fantasy. BITCH!

Chalmers is lucky more than anything else. He wouldn't be the starting PG anywhere else and might end up being in Miami, though I think Wade will be their starting PG most of the time

Chalmers is a capable PG, and even if Wade and James are handling the ball more and the offense is mainly run through them, Chalmers will be listed as their starting PG

From "we believe", to "we belong", to "we gon beatcho ass!"
