Because this topic is about sex, not gender. There are far more males than females on this board, which is the point of the thread. Gender is a societal construct that is irrelevant to the imbalance of males and females on the board, and gender in general is basically a means to stratify differences and boundaries between sexes. Many scholars today reject the idea of gender because it implies a continued inequality between the sexes.

Sorry I don't want to start a big debate or anything, it's just that this is something that I've talked about with friends and in class recently so for some reason I just thought I'd bring it up here. In hindsight that was probably not a good idea, since most people here probably don't care about this kind of stuff.

yeah, im in agreement to all of your comments. I took a couple women's studies classes in college, which BTW i think everyone should take. If fact, many people in this board needs to take classes on general tolerance, because I am in the minority on some of this issues that are deeply offensive to minorities (women, race, religion, or sexual orient.).

But yeah, once again, good point.
