just to be clear and this might sound contradictory.....
to me tanking and rooting for them to lose are two different things. I am not advocating the players and coaches to PURPOSEFULY lose. I dont want them trying to miss shots and trying to play poorly.
However I AM rooting for them to lose. Not sure if that makes sense or not. I want them to play normally, but hope that they lose.
I guess that is a bit muddy.
To the point of building momentum at the end of the season, I used to buy into that. However being a fan of sports for as long as I have, I have learned through experience that it is for the most part completely meaningless.
Especially in the Warriors situation where in all likelyhood there will be a new owner, new GM, new coach and many changes to the roster.

My competitiveness wanted the Warriors to win, but I'd rather have a chance at the top 3 draft picks.

I like the way Corey tanks.

this is truth. I'm glad curry was still balling despite the loss too. since I always watch the games over the internet, I usually get the other teams TVA... I got to tell you, a co-ROY seems like it's popular beyond the city of Oakland. |

I was at the game, and I guess I got to enjoy the best of both worlds: rooting for the W's, seeing a dramatic ending (of a rather pathetic game, as was to be expected), and the W's didn't hurt their ping ping ball chances.
For what it's worth, and I'm no basketball analyst, Reggie Williams could not guard Baron Davis to save his life. The only reason we got back into the game is because Baron got injured. True, Baron can be great when he feels like it and Reggie doesn't have much experience guarding a top tier NBA point guard, but it was still pretty pathetic watching Baron back him down &/or spin past him time after time. I Believe - that Curry and Monta are gonna have a lot of fun playing together for many years to come.
I Believe - we will be the most improved team in the league next year. |
Lol, he tanks and he will be replaced by Evan Turner if we get a top 2 pick. ![]() |
