I always root for the dutch team, no matter what. I just love their concept of football (er... soccer, I meant  ), which is pretty similar to ours, based on talent and offensive football. They're a lot like Spain, tho. Lots of talented players that usually fall a bit short in the big stage...

This year... I might have to root for England as well. And maybe the USA and Australia... God, it's gonna be a mess.

Why not your neighbour Portugal. They have always played a nice style of football

One reason, Chris-tiano ( )... I can't stand that f*cker... which automatically makes me dislike the whole team.

Don't try to understand it, there's no logic involved. I'll like them again as soon as he retires...

I'm not a soccer fan, but I understabd completely. From what I've seen from that dikhed, he is an absolute tosser, just an arrogant fuk. Two day ago I tuned into our international type channel here and saw highlights of Real Madrid v some other team they faced recently and CRonaldo motioned to the crowd when he wasn't passed the ball when he was running towards goal and it was pathetic, a real imbicile he looked like

Exactly. I knew you'd get it fast... I just can't stand people like that, that are so arrogant and behave like the rest of the world should be grateful for their existence.

He might not be like that in his personal life, but that's the image everybody has of him... so that's that.

TMC... i am in complete agreement... i hate Cristiano Ronaldo's arrogance, flops, deuche-bag persona... ugh. At least he's played for deuche bag clubs, and not the one's i root for (like Man-U and Real Madrid). I think i would quit rooting for Barca if he ever became a part of that club.

I guess I was just centering in on the words: arrogance, flops, and douchebag persona.

When I first moved to L.A., I used to play futbol with a bunch of Italians.
my god what a bunch of cry babies.

I can't generalize, but at least in the past, you would see many players on the italian teams flop and stay on the ground for long periods of time. But you also see this with many european teams (including my Spanish team) as well as Argentina.

One thing I like about our American Squad... we don't flop. We play hard and play strong, and even though we aren't close to be the most talented, they got my respect as a fan of the game and a fan of the team.

of course not every Italian is like that... and every team always has its flopper. it's just the Italian "protest" to a call or non call is just so awesomely dramatic... stronzo di merda!!

Speaking of a TOTAL FLOP
(& it's got nothing to do with falling on your back)

But did anyone see that LA GALAXY very own David Beckham has an Achillies injury & most likely will not be attending the Republic of South Africa

Nah Honestly.. i need to thank the injury gods :D This is the best thing to happen to the England team... I mean anyone who follows Football knows that this guy is the biggest Destraction to any team... All the Photo Shoots, Perfect Hair and movie Roles leads him to focusing more on his endorsements then his Soccer skills.

Plus now England loses any "TAGS" it may have of "CONTENDERS" & go about it's business of qualifying thru the rounds and not have the :BENDITLIKEBECKHAM: phenomenon ****ing up TEAM CHEMISTRY

Kind of reminds me like Javon Walker (Was good once, IS ALWAYS INJURED & signed a multi rich contract to play with inferior teammates)

RAIDERS = MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER

Now that Im back on here and noticed this post in here.

I must say that Beckham's injury really doesnt mean that much to England.............I mean, all the "other" stuff you mention doesnt really affect anything to do with teams he plays on, especially England, because they dont allow it.

Also, he doesnt allow it.............because although he does all this crap and sells his ass out so much, having watched and listened to him since he was 17, he loves and places football above everything else.

Now you may say, well why did he go to play in America, when he was still good and could have played on a big team in Europe still............why, if he loves football so much would he go with the money.

Well, he is just that naive enough to think that he alone could, and was going to, change "soccer" in America, and give it credibility.........he isnt a very intelligent man, and borders on child like with his ideas and comments.............he really did want to go to the US because he felt he could change the sport there.

On the actual playing side of things and how his injury affects England.............well, hes been a specialist, situational player for the last 2 years for England, literally only used late on in games and purely for his ability to put such quality crosses and free kicks in.

And especially now hes older, and even more so since weve got Capello coaching the team..............he would have simply been there for nostalgic, experience, and "if we needed him" kind of scenarios.

Still, its a loss and a shame because he would have broken the record for most World Cup appearances if hed played..............but it doesnt actually take anything away from England or its chances, because everyone knew he wasnt going to play that much anyway.

Losing Ashley Cole at left back and then having his replacement, Wayne Bridge, pull out for personal reasons is a HUGE loss and the biggest issue for England..........and could and probably will be the real "achilles" heel issue.
