Now I imagine many of the non foreign contributors to this board are from the bay... Like Spice 1, if you don't know about RBL Posse, than I can't take anything you have to say about hip hop seriously...

Some background for the rest of you: They are some of the few SFC rappers to ever make a name for themselves (most are from Oakland or surrounding areas), they once had three members - Mr. Cee(The talent), Hitman and Black C (Who I've actually met and hung out with a few times - not bragging - the guy is a bitch and hella racist. Kicking it with him almost ruined RBL for me)... Mr. Cee and Hitman have both been murdered while Black C continues to ride their coattails, even in the afterlife.

I can't find any of their good **** (I'm not talking about Bammer weed or Bluebird), but if you ever take my advice, than pick up their Eye for an Eye album: http://www.amazon.com/Eye-RBL-Posse/dp/B00000011H/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1267178082&sr=8-3 It's less than $6 with shipping (used) and is a master piece...

But i never really felt the Gangsta Rap Scene in the YAY (Too $hort aint a banga in my eyes (STRAIGHT UP LADIES BALLER, & Tupac ill always hold closer to Southern Cali)

But the Bay Area is more of that Conscious Global Warming type Save the planet Hiphop Scene... Give me guys like Blackalicious, Del the Funkee Homosapien anyday over OAKLAND Gangsta RAP!

Man you're trippin'! The song is about San Francisco, bud... it only looks good if there's a mix of red/gold and orange/black and hey... even add in the yellow/blue.

Floater: An Oregon bad that's a little hard to describe. Kind of psychedelic metal meets folk. They've been around for a long time, tour the northwest, northern california, arizona and are just starting to play on the east coast. My favorite band since I moved to Oregon.

This isn't there best song but it's their best known. Their youtube videos are almost all live and of poor quality. Best place to hear them is Pandora...
