Oh, Money Morrow, where art thou? Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

did I hear my name... well from that period.. I can recommend some of the greats: Coltrane, Bill Evans, Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey, Lee Morgan, Hampton Hawes, Cannonball Adderly, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock (both his 60's jazz stuff and Headhunters funk stuff) check out some Andrew Hill, Joe Henderson, Larry Young, and Woody Shaw for some great 60's jazz Eric Dolphy and Ornette Coleman if you want to take it even further 'out'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3pIsA0Q ... re=related
Steph Curry fakin Chris Anderson out of his jock: awesome! look on Turiaf's face: priceless |
|
EDIT--- if you are really into more experimental stuff like monk then skip past what I have bellow, it prob would appeal to you: Clarence Spady is awesome if you like blues guitar. His guitar solos are out of control - If you like Jazz piano, try Errol Garner. He is very unique, but very good. and I don't know who these guys are, but this is the best version of Mahn de Carnival I've heard in while. Thanks for those recommendations Money and first off. I actually have some random songs from Lee Morgan, Art Blakey and Cannonball Adderly.
I really wanted Eric Dolphy and Ornette Coleman because I really wanted to get into the more "coked out" or as you referred to it "out". ![]() |

Well I don't know your def. of "whored out" is but you'd be fighting an impossible battle to win if you said Kid Cudi is... I've been on this **** since last year: (and no it's not day or night...)
Some newer hip hop: cool kids: Kidz in the Hall: J.Cole: The best of my picks (More J.Cole) I actually like J.Cole the most out of those... |

This west coast, old school gangsta rapper deserves his own post... One of my all time favorite rappers... Spice 1 - If your from the West (particularly the Bay) and don't know who he is, you just lost any credibility when it comes to hip hop...
My favorite song: Spice with Jayo Felony, Jayo's verse is the shiit: Some old Spice: Yeah is lyrics are graphic... Spice in his prime: He blended melody with rhythm better than anyone... I admit that the graphic content of his lyrics just go too far some times... Well, most of the time... Another excellent song exhibiting his harmony... With WC and Big Syke: Just listen to that awesome, old-school westcoat whistle: And finally a remake of his classic 187-proof - Seriously if you listen to one of these records this should be the one if you don't know about Spice: Edit: I just read the rules and my recommendations (as far as Spice 1 albums) are as fallows: 1. Immortalized - Many Spice fans will disagree with this being at no. 1, but it is an amazing album with superior production, good features and there isn't a single track you'll want to skip... 2. The Black Bossalini - Many Spice fans will say this should be no. 1 3. AmeriKKKa's Nightmare - One of hs more popular Albums... Other notables: Spice 1 187 He Wrote The Last Dance Spiceberg Slim |
