Wonder if Kobe will play, or if he'll wait until their Thursday game against the Celtics. It doesn't matter much, as it's the Lakers front court that should dominate us. I hope Kobe doesn't play - not because it increases our chances of winning, but because I want to see Monta vs. Shannon Brown. Maybe Shannon, in LA, will think he can go toe to toe vs. Monta and screw up the Lakers' plan to stay disciplined in getting the ball into the low post. Or, maybe he'll be effective enough to get Monta to feel challenged and try to do too much on his own. That matchup could be the key to which style of play dominates.
Though unlikely, I see a scenario playing out where Curry makes Fish look older than he did against Aaron Brooks in last year's playoffs, Monta excels within the team concept, Morrow continues to stroke it, Turiaf and Tolliver find some magic way to frustrate their bigs, the tempo favors us, and we give ourselves a chance at the end. But, more likely, we'll get owned by Pau, Lamar, and Artest, + Morrow will shrink from the big stage, Monta and Steph won't be on the same page, Sasha and Shannon will be loose enough to drain threes, and it won't be pretty.
Either way I can't wait to watch, cause since I now live in socal, I get to watch the game on my tv instead of computer (two in a row, woohoo!).
p.s. I can understand not watching the W's at this point in the season out of frustration, but not out of protest - who the hell even knows you're watching if you're not filling out some Nielsen survey?
