This guy has a big salary but he is putting up numbers to back it. This has been his best season by far. He's neither very tall or short for PF, but he has the beef the Warriors are seriously lacking in the paint. The Grizzles are one of the few teams without a shortage of bigs and Randolph is the only player on their team with a huge salary. He's not too old at 28.
Here's a trade that worked on the NBA Trade Machine...
Warriors Trade: Monta Ellis + Speedy Claxton
Grizzles Trade: Zach Randolph
*Claxton has a 1 year $5,209,454 contract. Monta a 5 year $11,000,000 contract and Z. Randolph a 2 year $16,000,000 contract. This would give the Grizzles the most cap room of any team after this season plus Monta. Our lineup would look like this...
PG - Curry
SG - Morrow
SF - Mags
PF - Z. Randolph
C - Beans
another trade...
Warriors Trade: Monta + Biedrins
Grizzlies Trade: Z. Randolph + Gay
Our lineup would look like this...
PG - Curry
SG - Mags
SF - Gay
PF - Z. Randolph
C - Turiaf
Almost any trade we make for Z. Randolph gives us a big boost in beef
