The world really is a big and diverse place full of different peoples, cultures, architectures etc.
I saw a little game/activity (on some site) that tests your geographical knowledge and even though I thought I was well traveled it gave me a bit of a reality check that when it comes to having some knowledge about the world outside my immediate geographical area I'm really pretty average. So to start here is a pic of a town/place somewhere in this big world of ours. 
An easy one to start.... if you guess it pls feel free to post the next pic. |

I agree........Americans are pretty sh*t on realising anything outside of their own "world".
Anyway, thats Capetown, South Africa right dere.........because that is Table Mountain in the background. Next! (Easy) =

I've been to the henge (England). I actually had to jump a shitty little rope fence to get my picture taken next to it. Bloody graffiti vandals spoil all the fun for everyone. OK

have to admit.. .the first one threw me... I did think south africa as a possibility though.. mainly because of the dutch like architecture seeming so out of place with the landscape...

my guess is an island somewhere in the Mediterranean... maybe Italy or Spain... possibly Portugal (which would put it in the Atlantic Ocean) hmm? Yeah, I was thinking about the Azores. Maybe Madeira... or south of Italy. Or a french island. Kinda rings a bell. I know I've seen that pic before, just can't remember where. Still, if I had to bet, I'd go for Corsica or anywhere in the south of Italy. |
