All Dungy has to do is gain a couple hundred pounds, and he will get his own advice show.

Damn this dude is on every f-ing show on TV and radio. Giving his opinion like he's the half brother of the Dali Lama.

Not saying Dungy is bad guy but I am sick of him doing his fake laugh on the Remote Control Channel with Chris Myers. I am paying an extra $100 a year for that ****, SHOW ME THE GAMES.

I sure hope he is getting paid $$$ from Mike Vick to be his lawyer/pastor/mentor (the man should be teaching Vick how to read a defense)

If I ever get arrested for doing something stupid, I hope I can count on Saint Tony to stand by my side in court and tell the judge that I just need a little mentoring and I will be fine.
As I booked into a hotel, I said to the receptionist, I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled.
"No," she says, It's regular porn, you sick bastard.

Now that's a real role-model, a person to look up to, when I have kids this would be a man I will tell my kids about.

Maybe he can hold Anthony Randolph's hand on the bench during this time of "adversity"

Honetly the man is a bore on tv and just waiting until some desperate team over pays him. Just like Cower is doing

I personally think Tony Dungy is great. I think he has a lot of interesting things to say. Always willing to help people out. He's on TV a lot because he is so respected in this country, for good reason.

And I do not think he is "waiting" for the next job. He did turn down one of the best positions in football last week (Seattle President position). I think he is at peace with himself retired. I remember on PTI last week say he now has time to be involved with his charity organizations, and he wants to stay focused on that.

Are you sure you're talking about Tony Dungy? Cause that's one of the most ignorant things I've ever read. Tony is a very gentle hearted person. Like Mr. C has said, he's always offering a helping hand and has good things to say from time to time.

This is the same guy that lived right next door to Stephen Jackson in Indiana. The same guy that invited him over to his house to talk to him and guide him when Stephen was going through the whole firing a gun outside a club issue. He was there for him and never shunned him. He's always willing to help athletes who go through hard times.

So no, I don't believe Dungy is that guy you describe.

Bill Wash was a great coach and did soooooo much to help other, and get
nowher near the recognition.
And let's keep it real, he new the seahawk team would take
years to rebuild he is smart enough to wait for a better team
to have an opening. He want to make money just like anyone
else.

or his book "Uncommon: Finding Your Path to Significance"

would be interested in your feelings about the man after you actually new anything about him

Agreed.

I would add on, but I'm completely amazed by the guy's thoughts.

All I'll say is the day we see Dungy back in coaching is the day I'll sit down and agree with your statement about him just wanting to make money sitting in the right chair. But 'til then, deuce.

They are correct, he was the greatest. In addition, he mentored so many other coaches and players. (you know that whole coaching tree). He was a positive influence all over the Bay Area and has helped so many in the Stanford and San Jose community.

It is naive (to put it nicely) to think Dungy will not be back as a coach or gm, most likely in less than 2 years. The money is too good to turn down.

What a confusing thread.

What a retarded thread, actually.

Learn something about Dungy's life before speaking about him, particularly about his personal life.

Oh, and money doesn't matter to him. He's gonna get paid nonetheless, as a HC, analyst or whatever... so if he ever comes back, it will be because he feels like he has something else to do as a HC. Although he'll probably return, at some point, as a team president or something.
