The Clippers have just acquired Rasual Butler from the Hornets for a 2nd rounder. More salary shedding by the Hornets, Butler would have cost them almost 4 mil. not sure how long he is under contract...will this cut into the master plan of Lebron becoming a Clipper??

not sure if it was a plan as much as it was a fantasy.. the only way Lebron would sign with the Clips would be if he accidentally thought it said Lakers on the contract.

Doesn't Butler's contract expire after this season, though? Butler is servicable, though. He showed his true colors this past season. Either that was just a one hit wonder because he was playing with the best PG in the league, or he's really that servicable.

I really do think that if Lebron really wanted a proper rivalry with Kobe and be known as the undisputed best player in the nba, he'd seriously consider going to the Clippers.
Think about it: -He'd be in LA, on the other team opposing the Lakers. -He'd go against Kobe four times a season. -The Clippers franchise has always been awful and he could turn them around and bring them to unexpected heights. If that happened, he'd have taken the worst franchise to the championship and thus done what no other superstar ever has done. It could all go sour ofcourse, but the pluses are there ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

Yeah, Butler is more than serviceable. He's a good shooter that will come from the bench to spell Gordon and Thornton, and he's more than able to do just that. Good deal for LAC. For NO, it's just a move to save some money, much needed after the Okafor trade. |
