The same aura of leadership where he can will his team to win like Baron. None of the other Warriors really have that force of will (and who knows if they ever will). Don't you ever notice how frustrated Baron is with the other Warriors sometimes because they're not playing with the same sort of urgency. Pierce has that urgency as well as the talent and strength to be a late game go-to guy. He seems to be a much better defender, rebounder, and passer than Dunleavy (not that that's saying much). Having two guys like that would be great in case one of them is ever injured or having an off night. Richardson is very talented but is more of a follower (behind Davis, which seems to work great actually). Plus if you think Baron's and Jason's on court chemistry is good, think of what it must be like for two friends who have played each other since grammar school. BD might give Pierce absolutely sick stats. Having a second leader like Pierce in addition to Jrich would be ideal and downright deadly if Diogu develops into the kind of player he projects to be. With a lineup like that, Foyle, Biedrins, and Taft would be more than serviceable centers because they wouldn't be needed to do anything more than complement Diogu: make hustle plays, rebound, defend the opponent's interior scorers, and block shots. Any offense from them would be just gravy. Of course, if Mullin could get a lineup like that the next step would be to assemble the proper bench. Then we'd be looking at a "deep-into-the-playoffs" caliber team.
Absolutely right! but I do believe JRich will become a leader and like Pierce. I'd rather have Paul Pierce over anyone to trade for right now, if there is still a chance of getting him. That is the direction Mullin should be going and that would make the team a championship contender!
Like I have stated before - Dunleavy, Murphy (if needed!), and a 1st pick for Pierce or Dunleavy, Murphy (Great if Celts accept Foyle instead but unlikely), Fisher or Cheaney and a 1st pick for Pierce and Jefferson
