I encourage people to post images of there own artwork or artwork that inspires and then we can all discuss.

So to get the ball rolling

As some of you may be aware... recently my besto died. it could be said that my besty was a inspiration when it comes to art. this is a canvas i did for him...



I'll get some feedback first before i explain it all.

Only think I can says is that I'm impressed, Pawno.

Yes that is a basketball...

I will wait for our United States Counterparts (Who will probably be bigger and better ABSTRACT art fans then us... Cause thats just the state of the board)

Funny/stupid story about this painting actually.

Last time I came over to the Bay Area, I bought a real high gloss print of this (as I had never found one over here) picture to come and frame as it is my fav.

I had in a roll tube of course, and when I arrived at the airport to come hom, I went to the bathroom............then I went through baggage check and that crap, went and sat in the lounge to wait for my plane to board.

When the announcement came up that there was 30 mins before board, I thought Id check all my gear...........and realised the painting wasnt with me.

I then had a image flash in my head of me putting it down in the corner of the bathroom to do my bidness.

So I went all the back out through security, back to the bathroom, checked in there and it had gone..........went BACK through freakin security/passport checks again and boarded my plane just as they were closing the door!!!

Man, pissed me off as I still have never bought another print like that.

No, it was from an art gallery near Union Square, I forget the name of it unfortunately.

Ok well it's time for me to EXPLAIN

There is a hidden graffiti piece within the painting... my tag or alias as im known on the big bad streets from Brisbane to Berkeley is RAMBO.

the R is the OCTOPUS
the A is the SEAHORSE
the M is the CRAB
the B is the BULL
& the O is the BEARCLAW

My dead friend developed a love for the stockmarket and thus therefore i had to tie in the BULL & BEAR Markets... i think the only really ironic thing about the painting is that the seacreatures of the ocean floor (The OCTOPUS, SEAHORSE and CRAB) are trying to save the little BULL By pulling him up to the surface and ironically the bearclaw is pulling them all down.

Ok guys just letting you know that if i post anymore canvases from here on in... they might trangress...

the painting of the seacreatures is one of my more recently and ironically just before he left i had stockpiled 9 paintings for Valentines
( 9 sets of ***** = 9 different chances )

Anyways i didn't end up giving all the paintings away cause i was depressed and a little so-so about flogging them off.

so what i will do is post some more later but for the time being here is one of the pieces i did give away.
