Tyson Chandler was offered back to Chicago for Joakim Noah and the expiring contract of Drew Gooden before New Orleans dealt the former Bull to Oklahoma City, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald is reporting.

If this is real, the Hornets are fools. They could have had an expirer and a pretty good young Center

How are they fools. It was them that offered Chandler, not Chicago offering Noah and Gooden

Salmons was included in that deal as well. And it's been rumored that Michael Ruffin was included in the deal, but to Portland.

Also, it's been rumored that Portland has offered Raef Lafrentz(expirer), Travis Outlaw, and Sergio Rodriguez for Vince Carter.

ok a little bit more info. not much but a little

To Bulls
Salmons and Miller

for

to kings
Noccioni, Gooden, Simmons, AND Micheal Ruffin

Ruffin was then traded to Portland for Ike Diogu and cash

summary: kings possibly the worst team in the league now, at least talent wise. Bulls not making playoffs but I think they definitely got better good move. they get vets that can play.

If Chicago accepted that is, Hornets would have been better with that trade

the bulls didnt make the move to get vets. they get a killer talent in john salmons and they get a big expiring contract for 2010 in brad miller. sure miller can help them a little now, but his contract (not him) was the meat of the deal.

Reckon? Chicago needs a good Center, a consistent one at least, and Chandler would have provided them with that somewhat, though this season he has been quite ordinary.

Speaking of Chandler, he failed his physical and is back on the Hornets team. Wonder how he feels about being traded in the first place

Well, he has to remember that it's just business. That's the NBA life. Besides, it's not like he's going back to a team that has a problem with him. The team loved him, especially Chris Paul and David West.

Yea, he probably will just not like the management too much. It's a tricky situation, whhen a player gets traded, then comes right back

more weak sauce trades

FEB. 19 Williams McCants

Minnesota trades Rashad McCants and Calvin Booth to Sacramento

Sacramento trades Shelden Williams and Bobby Brown to Minnesota

Chicago's Larry Hughes to the Knicks for Jerome James and Tim Thomas

also chris mihm goes from LAL to memphis for a conditional 2nd rounder and cash

according to the espn rumor page, NYK's david lee is supposedly off the trade market, I think we try to get him as soon as possible in the off season.
it's nice that he's restricted FA because as long as we offer something big (6-8Mill) the Knicks won't be able to match and he will be ours!

We cannot offer that amount. Our payroll for next season, not including the rookies, is already close to $60 million, so there's no chance we can offer more than the MLE to anybody unless Crapford opts out.

Also, the Knicks can match any offer for Lee. If they want to match, that is.

update

POSTED: Feb. 19 -- 3:05 p.m. ET

Marc Stein: Looks like we have a fairly significant three-way deal that has been submitted to the league just before the trade deadline.

NBA front-office sources tell ESPN.com that Orlando is acquiring Rafer Alston from Houston to fill the void created at point guard by Jameer Nelson's shoulder injury.

The Rockets will receive Memphis guard Kyle Lowry, Orlando forward Brian Cook and perhaps two other minimum-salaried players to make the finances work.

The Grizzlies will receive a first-round pick from Orlando.

our good "friend" PoB got traded. This really tells you how worthless he is. The 9th pick in the draft just a few years ago (a 7 footer no less) gets traded for a guy who was drafted in the 2nd round in 2001 and has been out of the league for 8 years until this season!

Chris Sheridan:A source tells me the Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Patrick O'Bryant to Toronto for backup point guard Will Solomon. There were reports that O'Bryant was headed to Sacramento, but this deal fills Boston's need for another option at point guard behind Rajon Rondo, Eddie House and Gabe Pruitt, and it gives the Raptors another big body to bring off the bench.

Anyone who watched Andrea Bargnani and Jake Voskuhl try to stop Zydrunas Ilgauskas last night can see why the Raptors would be looking for some more size.
